There are countless questions revolving around the relationship between parenting styles and education. In fact, as a future parent, this topic is very important to discuss because it’s one of the aspects that lead to the society’s success. Furthermore, before making up my mind and deciding which is the best technique I should adopt with my children, I read a few articles concerning the topic. Consequently, I discovered that the Chinese mother’s parenting style is the best because it focuses mainly on developing the children’s growth abilities, providing assistance and seeking progress.
As a matter of fact, in “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior”, Amy Chua is a Chinese mother; she was very strict with her daughters and deprived them from all the extracurricular activities only for the sake of superiority in education. She believed that nothing is impossible and all children are capable of reaching higher levels of education (Chua, 2011).As for the other article I read, Salman Khan has an idea that it’s never too late to start learning anything and making mistakes and struggling in learning are great evidences of the mind’s growth .Also, he believed that people should provide assistance to others (Khan, 2014).However, ‘’What Makes a Perfect Parent” indicated that parents only influence their children in terms of their identity and their educational and social levels and so on. ...isagree with it. To support my point of view, I got good grades in school as a result of my mum’s educational support and push toward higher levels not because she’s an engineer or was married to a doctor. My parents’ past experiences do not play a role in shaping my educational success. What actually contributes to my success is my mother’s parenting strategies, embracing struggles and believing that everyone has intelligence.
To sum up, all various rearing styles have both their pros and cons. I personally believe that the Chinese mother’s parenting style perfectly suited me. It not only caused me success in education but also taught me that I should struggle and exert effort in all aspects of life. Additionally, it made me believe that I can reach the green light at the end of the tunnel. In other words, nothing is impossible no matter all the hindrances.

Essay on Parenting Styles And The Parent

- The parent I interviewed is a 28-year-old woman, in a relationship with the father of her 1-year-old baby girl. I asked the parent 8 questions. When asking the parent questions, I let them answer confidently first, then gave a scenario or oppositional view and asked how they felt afterward. Once she answered the first few questions, I instantly placed her under one parenting style category according to Baumrind: authoritative. It was really easy to see how the parent was thinking as a mother and that the intention of having the child’s best interest, was available....   [tags: Parenting styles, Parenting]
