Prison: The Main Goal Of The Prison System

The main goal of prison systems needs to be rehabilitation of the prisoners and their reintroduction into the world. We only need to keep the ones who are very dangerous to society or are serving a life sentence locked up to keep others safe. All prisons need to work under strict orders of what they can and cannot do. We need people to be turned around and benefit society, The putative benefits of more incarceration or longer sentences are actually costs(Furman 1). There needs to be prisons for holding people for the rest of their lives, and prisons to help rehabilitate people to join the world who realize that they made a mistake and need a second chance in life. We can no longer function with this single prison system, there is just too

Prisons are meant to be a place for people to be rehabilitated, but it seems it only promotes illegal activity and the membership of gangs. This causes a lot of good people who could make a positive change to their lives, turn for the worse and commit more crimes after they are released. We need to create a U.S. Prison system, to mandate how all prisons work, for prisoners who can 't or won 't re adjust to go back into the world, and for rehabilitation prison to help support prisoners who actually are going to change their ways and become a positive member of society. There also needs to be a system where prisoners can report complaints to an association for the rights of prisoners, to make sure they are still being treated the way they deserve to

They need to have access to things such as exercising, religious activities and reading, if they want to get closer to God, it could help them spiritually, even though they have no chance getting out of prison. They should also be allowed to work to make money to buy things like tobacco products, the work they do should benefit society, Such as cleaning up roads, making things the state sells such as license plates. They definitely need to have a minimum number of hours they need to work a week, but can work more if they choose too. They need to have around a hour a day of rec time where they can exercise and talk with others. If they do something to get in trouble, depending on the act they committed, they should loose all rec time and be locked up into solitary confinement for a time depending on the act that they committed. For those that are going to be locked up for the rest of their lives, they do not need to go through any type of torture. The only punishment they should have to go through is being locked up, and if they commit a bad act on the inside, solitary confinement. The only prisoners that need to be punished in the U.S.A. is terrorists or people who know something that could save the lives of
