Reflection of Knowledge and Skills
Week 1
The first week of the semester, I gain the knowledge about step-by-step process of the way research is conveyed. I was advised by the lecturer to keep a dairy for the record. I had brief knowledge about the methodology that can be used in the research project. Learning how to develop an idea about the accounting issues in an organization was the main goal in the first week.
Week 2
The key of developing an idea for research topic is to look into the area that is interesting to you. After coming up with different ideas and discussing that with the lecturer, this week I gained the insight on how important it is to stay focused in your subject area while researching a topic. The literature plays a

While t is one of the main issue in sampling and another issue is of inclusion and exclusion criteria. There are two type of sampling: Profitability and non-profitability.
I also came to know about the different ways to collect the data. As a student, I had a fair idea about few of the methods such as, Internet research, document analysis and case studies. But now I know that there are many other means of data collection and know how to use them.
Week 7
This week was the discussion of the data collection method such as observation method, questionnaires, focus groups etc. in details (Bell, 2005). The different type of research uses different data collection methods. There is the issue of validity and reliability in the research. You should be able to generalize the research motives. I was conflicting on which method would be best for my research project. But with the knowledge and skills I have developed and the guidance from the teacher, I was able to decide the best methods to collect the data for my project.
Week 8
This week was a workshop week for applying the knowledge we gained in week 5,6 and 7 into our research
Methods include the research relationship with the people studied, site selection and sampling decisions, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques.
Provided an overview of the research study of the past seasons, respectively, as well as the current literature and relevant research methodology was adopted to review the title search has focused on clarifying concepts through. Gather Success in the chapter analysis of the data that the overwhelming conclusion that emerged from the main purpose of the presentation and analysis of data collected from the device. Analytical method to analyze the data is also used in the data analysis chapter. Enveloped before choosing your explanation why the data between the various other analytical methods in the application of qualitative research methodology to explain. Finally, research in the organizational structure according to the system, it is necessary again to provide a means through which chapter of the researchers collected their data sampling and data collection methodology used to explain each specific use. Data collection is the tool of the success and results-oriented research. It has a great role in understanding of the research. The data has been compromised, leading to disaster and failure based on findings, researchers emphasized that the real health and all research data collection operations. Data analyses have a significant role in understanding the object of the research. Data analyses are the tool for the accurate measurement of judging the research methodology and the effects of that methodology. Data analysis is the key to the findings of the research. In fact; no company can survive without the available data analysis. Consider the following examples as follows:
They have been some challenges in trying to figure out the right approach to follow in a research study, and this semester is more of an eye opener that reveals the expected ways in conducting research which has been a very interesting and tough process. Dudley (2011), least four major search strategies available for locating references related to the chosen topic issues these include: (1) consultation, (2) searches in subject indexes, (3) browsing, and (4) footnote chasing. Researcher needs to be aware of all of these strategies in information gathering.
After considering the information in this week’s instructor guidance and readings, I have selected the research topic:
Different styles of research are employed in research to safeguard that the facts are acquired to permit examiners to find resolution to the principal queries for the study correctly, therefore, evading uncertainty ( ). Acquiring relevant proof encompasses stipulating the type of proof mandatory in answering the query. Methodological designs encompass logical complications; therefore, matters of sampling, information gathering methods, and queries are secondary to the type of method used in research. Strategies are often compared with quantitative and qualitative research methods. Research and collective studies are often observed as principal specimens of quantitative research and are evaluated compared to the flaws and strong point of numerical, examination, and quantitative research methods ( ).
Method used in collecting information includes qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is used to determine the history of the community; quantitative data such as windshield survey, focus group and one on one interview were also included because both sources were important for the past and current information of the community (Stamler & Yiu, 2012, p.221).
With this, research questions can be formed so as to create a focus and to frame which direction this research will be taking. The three research questions are:
In “Research design Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed Methods approaches” by John W. Creswell has explained three different approaches to design research topics. According to the author to design any research topic you have to do first inquiries about the research topic. While doing this there is three important factor that one should keep in mind. The first is there any alternative claims on this topic, the second is which strategies to use to inquire and third is the methods that can be used. The paper also tells us each this step in more details. There are three methods to approach to the research and those are qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. Using these methods researcher can translate his research into practice. To design
The process of data collection consisted of four stages. First, to gather data about An...
Therefore the research methodology followed was qualitative. The qualitative methodology will be able to capture and measure through the research questions. The measurement will be done through data which will be collected in the form of document, words, transcripts and observation.
This research is conducted by the group members of the Research Method class. This questionnaire will take approximately five minutes to complete. Participation is optional and completely voluntary. The researcher assures confidentiality to your individual results.
Data collection methods vary from observations to interviews. As previously mentioned, the methods of data collection compel the presence of the researcher. In numerous instances, the data to be collected is centered on the modus in which the researcher can analyze the data (Bryman, 2006). Hence, the role of the researcher cannot be relegated in a qualitative study.
Therefore, the objective in this chapter is to indicate how the data would be collected and analysed. The process and methodology of research used to collect the data for this dissertation will be explained in detail in this chapter.
Collected data should be satisfactory for the researchers and the targeted group of individuals. When the data collection tools and methods are valid and reliable, one is sure that the collected data and information is then right and dependent (Read, 2013). Moreover, the validity of collection tools ensures accurate data collection hence satisfying the whole
The Importance and Appropriateness of Utilizing Different Methodologies for Research. Introduction The process of research entails the logical as well as systematic search for useful data and information with regard to a specific topic (Jha, 2008). It is also comprised of the investigation of the best, most cost effective and appropriate solutions to both social and scientific issues, following an objective and logical analysis. Jha, (2008) defines research as the search for knowledge and the discovery of the truth. During this process, the data can be gathered from a wide pool of sources among them interviews, books, nature among others. The data can then be analyzed with the appropriate data analysis tools, so as to report the findings
