In full house, we see how three men display their parenting skills which is very different from fuller house’s display of three women’s parenting skills. Some things were the same, but it was clear that after 29 years parenting was different. In full house, Season 1 episode 1 DJ is forced to move in with her sister and she decided moving out into the garage was a better plan. The three men use different approaches to get her to move back to her room and many of which were futile. Uncle Jesse’s says that he “speaks the language that” she “understands” (18:40), then he continues to bribe her with twenty one dollars after some negotiating. After this analysis, one can see that Television just isn’t the same. Even with the same cast and idea Full House is an entirely different show than Fuller House. The show is now being influenced by current events as seen in the change of its jokes. It is also clear to see that talking open about sexual relations is no longer as socially acceptable as it used to be. And lastly, parenting itself has changed since Full House aired. The traditional values of the 90’s are no longer the same values as the 21st century.
