Abortion is a very popular trend around the world, it has been going on since the beginning of time. Many people would agree that abortion is very bad and unethical. Nearly 700,000 babies have been killed in the United States since 1973, with the right lies and planning all of those babies could have been saved. Abortion is a negative of society as shown by the torturing of a life, self harm, and the message it sends to others. There is no denying that abortion exist . Approximately 3,700 unborn babies are aborted daily in the United States ( Abortion Facts). Hospitals all over the country allow women to leave the baby with them if they do not want to keep it. There are many families that can not conceive a child, and wish to have child. Aborting is somewhat selfish, in the ways that a child could be saved, given up for adoption or left at the hospital to be put in a good home. Ending their lives because it is your “right” is unfair. Abortion sets a bad example the future of our nation. We know this through research. With a study towards attitudes about abortion in young adults ages eighteen to twenty one, from the years 1977 to 1993. This study attempted to determine if court rulings had an effect on the views of abortion. In response to this study eighteen year olds were mostly pro-choice and twenty one year olds were the least. Males are more pro-choice than females (Misra and Hohman. 85). Abortion is a very common thing, more common than we would like to believe. Tim O’Brien finds himself staring at his draft notice on June 17, 1968. He was confused and flustered. O’Brien does not know how or why he got selected for the draft. All he knew was that he was above the war itself, “A million things all at once—I was too good for this war. Too smart, too compassionate, to everything. It couldn’t happen” (41). He was also demented on the fact that he, a war hater, was being drafted. He felt if anyone were to be drafted it should be the people who supported the war. “If you support a war, if you think it’s worth the price, that’s fine, but you have to put your own precious fluids on the line” (42). His draft notice was when he first carried his thought of embarrassment. He instantly thought if he does not support the war he should not have to go to war. The only way not to go to war was to flee the country so the draft council could not find him. He had a moral split. “I feared the war, yes, but I also feared exile” (44). This quote is so true in young adults, not only then, but also now. Abortion continues to be a controversial topic now forty years after the U.S. Supreme Court found it to be a fundamental right in the historic Roe vs. Wade decision. Much of the debate claims to be founded upon scientific or constitutional issues. When examined closely this is just not true.

That year he wrote on his notebook “ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country” (page 8). This instilled in him a need to do something more, a need to serve his country. When it came to choose a college, he decided he would rather join the Marines. When describing his decision he said, “I guess it sort of means something to me- you know, that old lump in the throat when you hear the Star- Spangled Banner” (Ehrhart, 60).
Everyone knows that Abortion is a very controversial subject in the United State. It discusses human interaction where ethics, emotions, and law come together. Everyone knows that babies die of natural causes, but others are killed before they get the chance to experience their first breath. Abortion is fast becoming a quick fix to a rather large responsibility, especially among teenage women. Having sex is a huge responsibility, and if you aren’t ready to handle the consequences, then having sex is not for you, and abortion is not the answer if you do get pregnant.

Choice, what is choice? Choice is the right, power, or opportunity to choose. Everybody in society has a choice and these choices have many outcomes. A woman’s right to choose to have an abortion or not, is her fundamental right. If society outlaws abortion, society is interfering with the woman’s right to make decisions related to her own body. Many theorists believe that sexuality is what divides women from men and makes women less valuable than men; keeping this concept in mind it can be said that gender plays an immense role in social inequality. The social-conflict theory reflects the inequality women face regarding abortion in society which brings about a negative change. If a woman’s right to choose would be taken from her then this would cause social inequity. Taking a women’s right to choose would mean taking her freedom and taking freedom away from any human being would imply inequality.

The Korean War explicitly portrayed the atrocious battle between both the North and South side which gave the United Nations its military role for the first time, thus expanding the war from a domestic to an international scale. Sometimes called “The Forgotten War”, the Korean War was mainly overshadowed in historical terms by the conflicts that occurred before and after it, World War II and the Vietnam War. The Korean War had raged for years without a true resolution and after years of battles, even the compromise that was made was not a complete one. The current situation regarding North and South Korea is quite volatile. In order to apprehend the Korean War, one has to look at events that took place before the war, how the war was conducted and the aftermath of the War.

Abortion is a very sensitive issue to discuss, because of its nature. Many people have said that abortion is a very bad thing to do and it should not even be choice whether or not to abort a living fetus. People think that abortion is committing murder as it is killing the human fetus. However, others feel that a woman should have a voice and have the right to choose to keep the child or not and that it is not murder until the baby is born. Majority of individuals who believe that abortion is bad say that the fetus is human who is partly being formed and to have an abortion is considered to be murder. I believe that abortion should be seen in which the stage the fetus is in. if the fetus is in an early stage of pregnancy it is not considered murder, but if the fetus has already began to develop into a larger fetus then it is indeed considered to be murder. There are times when abortion can be accepted, if the mother is having complications due to pregnancy. For example if the mother is enduring complications in her pregnancy that can harm her, because of the child in that case it is ok to perform an abortion to help save the mother’s life.
