Radical Revolution Creates a Base

The American Revolution was a ten year process, which, lead to the independent and marvelous United States during the late 1700s and early 1800s. This revolution was a major and radical change to America. Ideas were sparked from the American Revolution. America had its first colonial victory. Technology ideas were ignited by the dozens. A party system was in place. There was a separation of church and state. The American Revolution was overall, the most radical change to take place in the United States. During the revolution, America defeated one of the most powerful armies and achieved its first colonial victory. The French were considered “more important than the gods” (Ellis 8). Once America had overpowered the French army and navy other nations wanted to do the same. The United States was looked up to as powerful and fearless. Others wanted to follow in our footsteps. Therefore, this victory created a new force of feeling the need to overpower other nations, as we successfully did. Washington claims that the victory over the French was a “miracle” (Ellis 8). But, America had finally stepped up to the plate and did not let the French use them as a doormat. Some may say that Washington made this victory possible but he was not a great military leader. The victory was possible because of the soldiers who fought in it. America never gave up. The United Sates had its first victory to show for it. The economy was growing miraculously during and after the American Revolution. New technology was invented. Entrepreneurship and commerce were developing and renovated the “economic landscape” (Wood 5) for the United Sates. An expansion of the economy took place. Many new jobs flourished because it was changing the “culture of Americ... ... middle of paper ... ... community. But, the founding fathers were able to eliminate that assumption by “insisting on the complete separation of church and state…” (Ellis 8). The separation of church and state allowed people to believe in the religion they wanted to. With this change, our nation is very diversely religious. The American Revolution was the most radical occurrence in our nation’s history. Changes in technology, the economy, religion, and government enhanced America for the better. A base was set down for all other nations to follow. Huge movements and changes followed after the American Revolution. Women’s rights had begun to seep through. As we look back today, we can all distinguish the difference between an event being radical or not. The American Revolution as a whole was the most revolutionary event that lead to the most important changes in our history.
