While agreeing with Chloe Valdary 's video "Don’t Judge Blacks Differently,” I believe the "End Racial Profiling Act of 2015" will not help end racism, with Racial profiling being a serious problem in the United States we look for ways to constantly end it, although this act will only make an effort to end racism and not completely get rid of it. From Chloe Valdary’s argument she is dissatisfied with the idea that the facts “ultimately don’t matter”, and all that truly matters is that a “black boy was killed by a white cop.” Although, I agree facts should matter in any case, we tend to miss the facts and make conclusions upon ourselves and how society perceives things to us all but I disagree when she claims this is another example of racism in a racist society. So then I question, what is more important--Facts or skin color? If our society is claimed to be “racist” how are we ever going to end racism? Granted many believe in this Act ending racism, but truth is I think as long we are alive there will always be racism on this earth. We will always have two sides of story no matter what. We might be able to control it but it will not be stopped.
In the video, Chloe Valdary argues that facts should matter more than skin color, although race and ethnicity are the dominant characteristics authorities look at when engaging in this type of profiling. Just like an officer you aren 't going to watch everyone because you 'll miss those you should have caught. You 're going to pay attention to those most likely to fit in with what you are looking for so that you can narrow your search and not be as likely to miss something. With this being the third time introduced what’s different about it this time. Even if passed every Act takes time to accommodate so month’s even years will be needed to even have an effect in society. The “Assembly Bill no. 953” requires all peace officers to include specified information and data, including the time, date, and location of the stop, and reason for the stop. This all will be included in an annual report and stated from the "End Racial Profiling Act of 2015”, “The bill would require an agency that employs 667 or more but less than 1,000 peace officers to issue its first annual report by April 1, 2020.” This bill will not even be as effective till the end results and reports come in, which is still 5 years from now.
