This semester in english composition 101 we have learned many techniques to master the writing process. From the first day I walked into the class I definitely feel that techniques and goals that were set definitely have been accomplished. Peer editing to the workshops and many more activities done in class is what 's made my writing skills improve. The larger idea that i 'm taking from english composition 101 is the importance of the significant steps in the writing process. Having the opportunity of getting feedback from the peer reviews. One of a couple of workshops that stood out to me was learning about the paragraph organization in a paper. For my portfolio I will be including writing process in the projects two, three, sources used in the class that I learned from, and a paper I wrote in english 4. The reasoning is to show how through all the writing process in the papers written in class has made my writing style improve. Now that the semester is coming to end i 'm coming to realize that my writing represents an argument that I stand for and defend with evidence to prove my point.
One of the couple of reasons I feel that my writing style has improved has been the way I revise my work now compared to beginning of the semester. The main difference that composition 101 has developped on my writing style is the revision of my papers in class. Since all the writing 's are on the same topic it made it easy to discuss and ask questions we h...

...on sources we used in class and asked to write about. Like concentrating on specific aspects of the bonobo and the atheist. Then to write an argument you believe in and then back it up with textual evidence and outside resources used in class.
In such short time I believe I learned many techniques to master the writing process in composition 101. From looking at the process in project one through project three there 's great improvement. The reason being is due to the time taking in the significant steps in the writing process. The extensive editing gave myself more time to focus on improving my papers by peer editing, workshops, conferences etc… I feel confident and definitely a lot better going into composition 102 than I did coming into composition 101 due to the excellent teaching style professor DiGarzia introduced during this semester.
