1.3 Demonstrate knowledge of teaching strategies that are responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds(Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership [AITSL], 2014) By the end of prac I will observe, research, and with guidance from my mentor, plan and utilise a range of teaching strategies that meet students learning strengths and needs from diverse backgrounds.
• Discuss with my mentor and observe how they cater for diversity in their lessons
• Research and implement effective strategies to cater for diversity
• Mentor to observe my lessons in catering for diversity. The feedback from the written observations will be used constructively when planning future lessons • Ability to utilise a range of strategies such as showing sensitivity, the use of inclusive language and utilising a variety of resources to meet student needs and strengths and therefore cater for their different backgrounds.

3. Personal wellbeing – work life balance (BRiTE, 2016). As a graduate teacher I will work on my personal well being by exercising regularly, eating and sleeping well and prioritising my work commitments in order to achieve a happy balance between my professional and personal life.

• Eat healthy food at least six days out of the week
• Sleep between 7 to 8 hours each night.
• Use a diary to record and prioritise all tasks.
