Children Poverty in the United States
Children are poor because they live with parents that are poor. The rate of Poverty for children is almost doubled the amount of adult poverty. These adults are poor because of economic and demographic forces. There has been an increase in the inequality of earnings among workers, resulting in a larger proportions of the population in poverty. Another main cause of childhood poverty is premarital pregnancy. Child poverty is described as an economic state that does not allow for a child to receive adequate, basic needs such as food, clo...

Based on a large national study, body mass index (or BMI, an indicator of excess body fat) was higher every year between 1986 and 2002 among adults in the lowest income group and the lowest education group than among those in the highest income and education groups, respectively (Truong & Sturm, 2005). Obesity does damage to you, to your life. It puts you in a place where your not happy with yourself. Some people commit suicide from being fat because they get made fun of everyday, no matter what age you are. Obesity is no joke these days and it never was. Poverty is one of the main causes of hunger in the United States. Poverty affects access to nutritious meals and restricts resources to finding these nutritious meals.
Premarital pregnancy stops many from finishing or continuing their education.
