During a person 's lifetime you meet a lot of people. You have your family for better or for worse they are always going to be with you. Than you have your every day strangers that you see everywhere you go. Some of theses strangers you meet and you get along with and some of them you might become friends with. But their are only a few people that you call your best friend. To have a best friend you have to have a few qualities that make a good friendship with one another. Being someone 's friend is nice, but having a best friend is great thing to have, but a hard thing to maintain. There are a lot of qualities to maintain true friendship, but theses three qualities are especially important if you want to maintain a good friendship with your best friend
When you talk to people, and ask for their opinion most people are not going to be truly honest with you, because they do not want to hurt your feelings. Many people do want to be honest with you. One necessary quality in order to maintain a true friendship is having the ability to tell your best friend in the eye the truth about, if its good or bad. Other than family people trust their best friend to be honest with them when it comes to different subjects. Sugar coating anything would be a waste of time for someone, If a person can 't hear the truth from their best friend that no one is going to be honest with them. Being able to tell your friend the truth If it 's suppose to be a good truth when their down or bad truth when they 're about to make a stupid decision. For example my sophomore year in college, I was doing home work with a close friend. I was about to finish my speech and I showed him my speech. Most people would have told me that it was a good speech, but he told th...

Friends are all around us, but best friendships are hard to maintain and take a lot of time to develop. Theses are the people that stay in your life through the good times and the bad times. Their are tons of qualities when it comes to maintaining a close friendship with someone, but with all the work that goes into building a true friendship, comes the benefits of having someone who cares about you and wants to see you succeed in life. That 's why its important to have friends, but to make sure to have close friends.
