Brief Introduction:
Project Unnati is a unique concept which aims to make 'Agriculture' to 'Agribusiness'. Our business plan proposes a unique model of reaching the remotest village in the rural India and then selling the products of their needs and also buying back the produce from the local people. The idea is to reach out to the people who form a market with huge potential as pointed out by the rising figures of per capita consumption in the rural regions.
Project Unnati presents an Agri Mall alongwith an unique Chaar Chakko pe Haat.
Business Concept
• What precisely, is your product or service?
• What is the uniqueness and innovativeness of your product/service and what value does it create?
• Does your product/service solve any particular problem?
The service that we are planning to offer is a Agri Mall and “Unnati-Chaar chakko pe haat”, which literally means market on wheels. We plan to target the rural markets with population size of more than 5000 by the Agri Malls and in between 1000-5000 will be targeted by the Unnati Rath where the villagers can sell their produce and can also buy a variety of goods ranging from electronic goods to grocery and clothes.
The uniqueness of Unnati is that it is making the resources available to the rural population at their doorsteps. Even today the rural population depends on the weekly haats to a large extent. The concept of Unnati Rath taps this opportunity and thus is able reach the remotest consumer. The most innovative part of this concept is that the same rath can be used for seven different villages as the haats are organized on different days of the week in the villages. The buyback model will offer the rural people rates higher than the one they get at the local mandis thus giving higher profits.
As far as rural India is concerned, the revenues of the villagers are substantially affected by the middle men involved in the various transactions. Unnati will remove these wholesalers as it’ll act as an interface between the rural consumer and the manufacturer. Also, the buyback model enables the rural produce to reach the urban markets with high profit margins. It will provide the villagers with the goods they need at their doorstep and will also help them earn a good living by directly selling their produce to the urban population.
Customers Analysis
• Who will be the potential customers of your product?
• Why will they purchase your product/service?
We aim to provide products, services, benefits and rewards that deliver more value than any competitor.
In the future economy, the agriculture business would be largely driven by consumer needs. The demand for variety would increase. The physical network of eChoupal will be strategic locations where they can grade and route customized supplies to meet the variety needs. Furthermore, ITC may need to have the ability to trace the origin of the products. Having the e-Choupal set up, ITC can easily integrate future consumer’s needs into the eChoupal network. The eChoupal has provided a solid business platform for the future.
The Transformation of the “Indian Problem”. In this paper, I plan to examine the marked transformation and the history of the so-called “Indian Problem.” The idea of an “Indian Problem” began with the arrival of white settlers in North America, and for them, it was a problem of safety, security, and land acquisition. Around 1890, the “Indian Problem” became an issue of how to help the Indians go extinct humanely, or to assimilate into white culture.

Gathering information and literature on this discipline will help us understand how we can solve the problem. Agriculture plays a major role in the issue of world hunger today. In the article “How a Global Network of Farmers Can Help End Hunger”, many very important issues surrounding that particular role agriculture plays in world hunger are discussed (Bread for the World Institute and Foods Resource Bank). In the article, the author’s discuss just how important the role of farmer’s are in the world hunger problem (Bread for the World Institute and Foods Resource Bank). The farmers are the ones who produce all the grains, vegetables and protein that we need in our lives to sustain a healthy lifestyle, and in fact they do produce enough of those food groups to feed the entire planet (Bread for the World Institute and Foods Resource Bank).
In the case study “cashew trade” we saw, the exporters in India and retailers in the EU and the US are negligent about the return that the farmers (the main producer) get in the business and their economic situation.
⑤ Local farmers suppliers. Local farmers’ benefit are obviously from the ongoing recovery of the purchase price and the sales contract.
emerging or new market. It can originate from new technology or new market opportunities (Eliashberg, J., Lilien, G. L., & Rao, V. R. 1997). Literature defines product development as exploiting an untapped market opportunity and turning it into a value product for customer satisfaction. Development and introduction of a new product requires extensive research on understanding customer needs, market structure, emerging trends and analysing the internal & external competitive market environments. To evaluate customer satisfaction previous researches provide strong relationship between customer satisfaction and product quality, product features and value for money. ***
Pricing. Our product is priced lower than our competitors in our industry. Even though our competitors have a different kind of product compared to us.
As a massive provider of consumer goods in India, Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL), is attempting to penetrate the rural markets where there is a massive opportunity for growth. HLL’s current operating sectors are becoming increasingly competitive and crowded. Their best opportunities now lie in developing new markets and rising to the top of that market. They are attempting to do this with a program for developing entrepreneurs, named Shaktis. Met with initial success the program now needs to grow without increasing costs.

...earch and extension, rural infrastructure, and market access for small farmers. Rural investments have been sorely neglected in recent decades, and now is the time to reverse this trend. Farmers in many developing countries are operating in an environment of inadequate infrastructure like roads, electricity, and communications; poor soils; lack of storage and processing capacity; and little or no access to agricultural technologies that could increase their profits and improve their livelihoods. Recent unrest over food prices in a number of countries may tempt policymakers to put the interests of urban consumers over those of rural people, including farmers, but this approach would be shortsighted and counterproductive. Given the scale of investment needed, aid donors should also expand development assistance to agriculture, rural services, and science and technology.
