Profile of Zaheerabad: Zaheerabad is named after a Paigah Nawab, Nawab Mohammed Zaheer Yar Jung Bahadur, the the oldest son of Sir Asman Jah Bahadur. Zaheerabad was previously called as “Badi Ekkhelli” till 1987. Zahirabad is the biggest town and it is an assembly as well as a loksabha constituency of Medak District in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Geographically Zahirabad is located at national high way No 9 passes through middle of the town. Zaheerabad has connected to Hyderabad, Bider and Purna with railway line, There is a railway station with all facilities. Zaheerabad is connected with Hyderabad, Bider and Mumbay with road ways. There are two Mosques in this area Rahmath Mosque and Mohammadiya Mosque. Mohammadiya Masjid is attached a Maktab also to provide basic Islamic education to Muslim children. A Govt. Primary School is also opened by A.P Govt. in Ahmadnagar before two years ago, where more than 70 students getting education.
