Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) falls under the general job title: Accountant. Accountants’ NOC and SOC are 1111 and 13-2011.01 respectively. They perform duties such as planning, organizing and administering accounting systems for individuals and establishments. They also analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit or loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization to monitor its’ financial position. (O*Net Online, 2016). According to O*Net Online (2016), accountants report to the firm’s management regarding the finances of establishment. Being an Accountant, they must have the following Soft and Technical skills

Questions asked to measure knowledge and judgment about how the applicant may behave on the job if hired. There are two types of interview question Behavioral Description Interviews (BDI) and Situational Interview. First, Behavioral Description Interviews (BDI) are structured interviews using open-ended questions, that focus on what the applicant has done in the past to predict their future behavior. Second, Situational Interviews is an interview procedure where applicants are confronted with specific future-based issues, problems that can be raised for the job. Interviews will help to understand a person better and moreover, you can also see how they react to certain situation or question. One real example, PwC interview is that the first interview in PwC will be held by someone at management level. Also, PwC offers you the option of a face to face or phone
It would predict an answer like, you could talk to the supervisor about the issue, or you could talk to the person himself. Based on his/her answer you would get to know how honest and loyal they would be towards the organization. It also analyzes their problem-solving skills. ii. Have you worked in a team before, how was the experience, how would you change it? And how is it different from working individually?
This question would show his/her teamwork skills, it uses the fact that accountants, for most of the time, work in groups. In addition, it will show how a person learns from their experience and implement those changes. iii. Suppose you have two reports, one domestic and one international due at the same time. How would you prioritize yourself to work under a tight deadline? And how would you handle it? 23
This would show their knowledge in differentiating between the needs of domestic and international reports. In addition to that, it will help measure their time management skills. Moreover, this would also describe how the applicant would prioritize their work time. iv. Describe the project situation that best describes your analytical ability? What was your role?
