Before we can align our purchasing group with the organizations goals we must first establish what the company objectives are. Company goals are generally set to enable them to compete strategically in the market. There are numerous measurements in which an organization may use to compete which are mostly contingent on the most imperative to the client base or market they are focusing on. Some organizations main goal concentrate on purchasing the most inexpensive items conducive their needs. Others however will concentrate on quality, development, growth and innovation. These ideas focus entirely on distinctive approaches in procurement of resources and the arranging methods created by management. These approaches should be coordinated with the obligations and acquirements of both procurement success and the organizations goals.
Purchasing is the process of identifying and collecting required asset in an well organized manner called procurement. It guarantees the best value for resources required, while expanding improvements of cost and quality. These key essentials must match the company goals for overall success. There are three ways this can be accomplished. They are as follow:
 Assess your present circumstance including your organization 's way of life, hierarchical structure, employees, company direction along with the understanding of your key partners needed to complete the organizational goals.
 The purchasing objectives should be clear and specific to the organizations plan 's to provide the highest customers service while continuing to search for more beneficial supply at a reduced cost.
