The Solution to the Environmental Problem Planet Earth has taking severe damage from the human race. The environment on Earth can be improved by using renewable sources of energy, reducing destruction of wildlife habitats, and remove current pollution from water and the ground. Without the planet Earth humans would have no place to live. One way to clean up the environment is to stop using fossil fuels and use renewable energy sources. Fossil fuels are formed from the remains of organisms, the fossil fuels used by humans are coal and gas. Fossil fuels must be dug out of the ground and the process of extracting fossil fuels has had negative side effects on the planet. For example there was an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico due to pumping …show more content…
Unfortunately many habitats are destroyed to make room more industrialization.Trees are cut down to make way for farms and fields. So more animals can be raised so the growing population of people can eat. Most of the food created by people is wasted most times being through in the trash. Trees provide oxygen and take many years to grow, full grown trees are used. Stricter laws to prevent large amounts of ecosystems such as rainforests from being cut down. Humans can begin to use faster more replenishable resources for buildings such as bamboo. Bamboo grows very fast and using bamboo will give trees a chance to recover. Mankind must realize that they are a being of the Earth no different from any other creature. The environment takes most of its damage from humans, besides natural disasters which occur due to the Earth’s spin, rotation and tilt. Human dna is similar to that of a tree and animals for about thirty percent. Create more national parks and preserve the remaining wild/unindustrialized land. Create laws to enforce for every tree cut down five more must be planted. Especially for companies that use wood to make products such as paper, pencils and furniture. The impurity already left on the Earth need to be extracted to help the environment
Fossil fuels are very limited and they are used a lot. Fossil fuels are also very harmful to nature. Carbon emissions, that are produced from the use of fossil fuels, affects the globe
Widely because fossil fuels are the number one source of energy in the world today. Humans consume 3,570,000,000 gallons of gas in just one day! Using fossil fuels is extremely dangerous to our environment, but there are plenty of ways one can reduce their fossil fuel intake. Carpooling with your friends to school, work, and just in general is a great choice to make. Not only would it improve the environment, but it would save money, too. Another great way to cut down on fossil fuels is to walk to get from place to place. Walking is an easy way to get an exercise in and is even proven to increase happiness. No matter how big or small, any change will help combat global
A man named Robert Laughlin once said, "The Earth is very old and has suffered grievously: volcanic explosions, floods, meteor impacts, mountain formation and yet all manner of other abuses greater than anything people could inflict. Yet, the Earth is still here. It's a survivor." Laughlin clearly believes in this quote that the Earth can take care of itself. The Earth has been through worse disasters than just pollution, and extinction of species and plants. Roderick Nash, an environmentalist and activist, says otherwise.
In just the last fifty years, humans, namely Americans have virtually remodeled the Earth and everything on it. We have changed its landscapes, wind patterns, migration routes, and weather; diminished its greenery and killed its animals. Nature did not seem a force that could be controlled and yet it has been. We are conducting an inadvertent global experiment by changing the face of the entire planet. We are destroying the ozone layer, which allows life to exist on the Earth's surface, clearing the majority of the earth’s forests, and disrupting countless ecosystems.
...such as recycling and reducing waste has significantly helped our environment and will continue to if future generations practice these same habits. For deforestation, many organizations have strived to plant more trees and add more oxygen to the atmosphere as well as nutrients for the soil. Seeing that although humans create many negative impacts in our global environment, there are many positive arrangements in correcting these issues.
Why Can't We Quit Fossil Fuel ? Global warming and climate change have had a wide impact on our environment. They have become critical international issue since the beginning of industrial revolution. Everyone concerns about it, but what have we done to diminish the ramifications of this issues ?
Over the last two centuries, humanity has become increasingly reliant on fossil fuels. Over that time, the consequences of constantly burning fossil fuels have accumulated into a threat to industrialized cities. The burning of fossil fuels causes acid rain to shower on cities and ecosystems around the world, tormenting their inhabitants. The increasingly deadly pollution caused by the burning of fossil fuels has caused the deaths of many people around the world by causing respiratory problems. Not only has the pollution worsened, but the supply of fossil fuels is not limitless – as humanity’s reliance increases the supply decreases, and that is all the more reason to break humanity’s reliance on fossil fuels. Fossil fuels should be replaced with cleaner alternatives because fossil fuels cause environmental hazards, are non-renewable, and are detrimental to human health.
The effects of using fossil fuels are starker than their timelines. Humans release approximately two billion metric tons of pollution annually, mostly from the burning of coal, oil, and natural gas; this pollution is destroying our environment and the ozone layer. Ozone and smog damage forests, crops, and other plant life, and reduces visibility. Other pollutants have the same
People can also reduce the use of fossil fuels by doing simple things for instance switching off lights and appliances when leaving the room. Walking or cycling instead of driving a car or use public transport for maybe longer journeys. Little things like this will make a big difference, making our planet a better place.
Fossil fuels are an important part of life. When you turn on the lights, watch TV, or take a shower, the electricity that you are using is being generated by fossil fuels. The three types of fossil fuels are coal, crude oil, and natural gas. They all take millions of years to form, so they are considered to be “non-renewable”- eventually, the fossil fuels will all be used up. One dangerous biological effect of using fossil fuels is ocean acidification. Extracting and transporting fossil fuels can also be very dangerous. Environmentally damaging accidents such as groundwater contamination, land subsidence, and oil spills occur frequently. Global warming is another possible environmental effect. Fossil fuels have a crucial role in modern society, but since they are non-renewable and dangerous, we should reduce our dependence on them and explore alternative energy sources. Wind energy, hydroelectricity, and solar energy are some examples of renewable fuel sources. There are also many things that people can do everyday to save energy (and, in turn, conserve fossil fuels).
Prevent dangerous climate change by phasing out fossil fuels (oil, coal, gas) and replacing them with clean renewable energy such as solar.
The environment today is not in a good condition, Climate change is evident, and oceans are getting polluted. Rainforrest's are decreasing in size due to deforestation and illegal logging. Animals are getting extinct due to the destruction of their habitats. Natural resources are being consumed at very large amounts, and get wasted. There are different ways these problems can be addressed, one option is environmental management. Environmental management focuses on conservation of natural resources, protection of habitats, and impact of humans on the environment. Conservation of natural resources is the smart use of the world's resources by humans, through this waste production is limited, and there will be less garbage in the world. By conserving
The earth is considered as one of the most beautiful planets in the universe. It is the only planet in our galaxy that has enough water to support life. Unfortunately our planet is suffering due to many problems which should be solved before it is too late. The major problems that are facing our world today are population, pollution and animal extinction.
Fuels like coal, and oil that once were a fine innovation in creating energy are now rapidly deleting and one day will be gone forever; energy that won’t last is often referred to as non-renewable energy. Besides being set up to fail and become inefficient in the future, fossil fuel energy is not clean to use and poses several environmental complications. Coal, for instance is “the dirtiest of all fossil fuels. Coal combustion not only produces sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides that contribute to acid rain and snow, it generates millions of tons of particulates that cause asthma and other respiratory diseases.” As with all usage of fossil fuels, it creates enormous amounts of carbon dioxide, which contributes to greenhouse gas. Not only are fossil fuels dirty, they also pose as a security risk and unforgiving on the American wallet. (Saini)
For each individual, there are many ways to save the earth which they must know and do. First and foremost, people must
