Our mental health affects almost every aspect of our lives, as well as the dimensions of wellness. It affects the way we think, feel, and act. If someone suffers from depression, they probably have a hard time being productive and doing the things they need to do, whereas someone without that disorder would be able to do those things. Our mental health also affects the way we deal with situations and stress. Some people may be able to cope and evaluate the situation, while someone else might be affected very negatively by that situation. Our emotional, social, and psychological well-being is very dependent on our current state of mental health. It determines how we make choices, and it 's critical that we take care of our minds.

The best way, I believe, to stop the stigma, is for those without mental illnesses, the families, friends, doctors, of the patients, to be aware of what they are doing to the affected, and how they can approach the ill in a different way. We also need more people to speak up, and speak out about their mental illness, or their experiences with mental illnesses and disorders. If people are more open to talking about their experiences, more people can feel empowered to reach out and seek the help that they need! We can also integrate talks about mental illness into schooling, and have counselors available for children from a young age. There should also be more mental health clinics, places where people can go to feel safe and talk about what they’re going through, and receive the help that they need.
