Global Warming is seen as a hoax by some, while others are out trying to save the world as I write this. Everybody has their own opinion on the Climate Change debate. On one side, you have those who feel it is a government conspiracy, only of benefit in politics for raising taxes and a money making scheme. On the other side, there are tree huggers who use as little energy and waste as possible because they know their neighbors are SUV gas guzzling hogs that do not recycle. For ten years I have been on the environments side, since I watched An Inconvenient Truth. This documentary changed my entire perspective on how I live my life and the footprint that I leave. This subject matter is not new, however it is alarming. Regardless of an opinion by all, the reality is, bad environmental practices across the spectrum have put our planet in peril. For decades, the industrial revolution and technology have been advances made for modern civilization, but at what cost? The price we pay is our health and our future. We call planet earth our home, and it is running a high fever. If the urgency to act is not met, it will be too late.

Global Warming is the the heating of the planet within its atmosphere attributed by carbon emissions. The debate of whether or not either one of these terms is actually happening has been verified by many and disproven by others. People do believe in the rapid evolution of our planet adapting to what we have as the human species have done to it, over the last century combined with a warming peri...

...to a naturally sourced energy, but down the road you will thank yourself for the savings. Take an LED light bulb, they are considerably coming down in price, however they are more expensive than a traditional incandescent. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard “I am not paying eight dollars for a light bulb I can get for a dollar” not realizing you’ll save tens of dollars from that LED that will last 3 times as long. Another example is those who have switched to solar panels. Yes they are pricey upfront, but they pay themselves off after a few years with twenty five dollar electric bills, of course this varies by usage. Whichever side you land on, just know, time is not on our side for the human race. Devastating consequences our in process and we will falter, if we continue on as we are; it is our environmental obligation to aid our home in anyway possible.
