The article “Pro Life vs. Pro Choice” contains very sensitive subjects people argue among a crowd. The author shows a large number of advantages and disadvantages that leave individuals in an uproar while explaining their stance over the subject. Views on religion, myths, and unfit mothers show different arguments to each opposing side throughout the article. Alternatives to abortion and the future aspects have shown many different pieces about pro life and pro choice (Head, 2015). To start, pro life arguments will be stated along with the writer’s opinions. Finally, the writer’s opinions on the subject following pro choice disputes. If a mother has health issues that could place her life at risk while having a baby, then that mother may need to have an abortion to save her life. Head (2015) does include, “Even though pro choice protestors seem to be pro abortion, that is not completely what their argument is about,” (para. 6). Many pro choice leaders look for the best option for a mother and the baby. They look for many alternatives that give the mother and her child both their best outlook on life. A lot of parents do not have the capability or money to handle a child with disabilities, which the article failed to show. A large amount of parents consider if abortion will be the best for that type of situation. Head (2015) does include, “Circumstances may put someone in a position where abortion is the best option,” (para. 20). The author stating this shows views where if the mother can be hurt, or even die. A variety of pro choice disadvantages mainly contain arguments with abortion. Abortion does in fact mean taking away a life of a child that has, “no say against it” (Head, 2015, para. 20). Yet, “pro choice protestors do not all agree with abortion” (Head, 2015, para. 6). Many individuals look from a baby’s perspective and shame pro choice. Yet, it may save marriages and save lives, while still providing understanding for the parents to sustain their feelings. “Pro choice is not set on abortion” (head, 2015, para.20); the movement focuses on the choice the parents believe will give their child the best opportunity. Adoption should always be considered before the abortion which the article does not include. Many women who do have health issues and cannot have children try to adopt, yet the process is long and tiring. While attempting to adopt a couple may overcome the issue of not finding a proper set of parents who they personally enjoy to be the birth parents of the child they are wanting to receive. If a healthy pregnant woman fits the criteria of a family looking to adopt, then she should try to consider that option if she was looking to abort
