There are many products sold which can be classified as inherently dangerous. If one thinks about it, almost every product sold or and marketed if used in the wrong way could be harmful to oneself. Inherently dangerous products are those that even if the buyer uses it properly it can be harmful. As we saw in the video guns are an inherently dangerous product, they are meant to kill. The sale of guns is an issue because of the fact they might get into the wrong hands but I feel what is really the problem is the marketing of guns. They are portrayed to be something that kids think is cool or fun to have. This causes huge problems because it is now the children that want the guns but they are the ones who misuse them.

Beginning at birth and lasting for the first 24 months of a child’s life, the sensorimotor stage is a period of rapid cognitive growth. He believes that in order to understand the purpose of our lives, we have to connect with the nature and understand our surrounding on a different level. In other words, we really have to view our surrounding with a different “ pair of eyes “ that enables us to disregard the materialistic values of our world and simply focus on what is around us, which is nature. David proposes that we should observe, study, and ponder the beauty of nature in an attempt to find the purpose of our lives and answer the classical life debates like what is a good life and what is a bad life? Likewise, Thoreau’s worship of nature corresponds with the idea of Individualism. The purpose of Walden is not only to tell the readers that the study of nature is the answers to all the problems, but also to inspire the need for critical reasoning and individual approach towards life choices. In other words, the purpose of Walden is also to tell us not to follow the social standards, but rather to always investigate, ponder, and pursue things individually before making a
Violence related to guns is a prominent issue in America. Guns are a means to an end; meaning guns have played a strong role in suicides, murders, and injuries. In the past decade there has been an average of 400-500 thousand incidents of firearms per year (Gun Violence). The number of injured people from firearm incidents in the United States per year for the past decade is 400-600 thousand people (Gun Violence). These statistics are absolutely shocking to anyone. The amount of violence and crime that comes from guns is enormous. It is imperative that proper gun control is put into place by means of background checks and proper training. It can almost be certain that the number of incidents of accidental discharges from children and the number of victims affected by gun crimes in general can be highly reduced.
The first stage revolves around a 2-month-old infant learning to lift up their head. Infants do not know how independently lift their heads, resulting in their head always being down (assimilation). When infants hear sounds that are unfamiliar (disequilibrium), they may become curious and will eventually learn to lift their head to notice what is going on (accommodation).
Technology has always been at the forefront of the world’s mind, for as long as anyone can remember. The idea of “advancing” has been a consistent goal among developers. However, recently the invention of smartphones broke out into the world of technology, causing millions of people to become encapsulated in a world of knowledge at their fingertips. Jean Twenge elaborates on the impacts of the smartphone on the younger generation in her article “Has the Smartphone Destroyed a Generation?” Twenge’s article is just a sliver of the analysis that she presents in her book “IGen.” Twenge, a professor of psychology at San

Today in the United States many people argue over the fact of guns being legal or illegal. There are people using guns for personal safety and there are others who use them for crimes, as well as for other situations. Firearm deaths in the United States have slowly been decreasing from year to year with all these bills getting passed to promote a safer country than ever before. Guns are the main weapon for youth suicide, school shootings, and for committing murder. In 2010 there were 2,711 infants, child, and teenage firearm deaths. As in school shootings and in committing murder, studies show shooters often had multiple, non-automatic guns, shootings were planned, most youth tell before shooting, shooters have a history of being bullied or threatened, shooters have mental issues, and shooters have done suicidal gestures before (Gun Control with School Shootings). On the face of it, it would seem that the relationship between Catherine and Heathcliff is self-destructive to an extreme. Due to the lovers’ precarious circumstances, passionate personalities and class divisions, it seems that fate transpires to keep them apart and therefore the hopelessness of their situation drives them to self destruction. However, although the relationship is undeniably self-destructive, there are elements within it that suggest the pain Heathcliff and Catherine put each other through is atoned for to an extent when they share their brief moments of harmony.
Nursing, for me, is more than a profession, it is a journey where I learn continuously about life changing events and miracles. Touching the lives of others or being touched by other’s story is an experience one can’t describe, only endure. Nursing is a profession of integrity and compassion, and it is the most trusted professions due to our commitment towards our patient. The quality of a good nurse is they should be caring, sensitive, kind and respectful towards their patient, and I believe I possess all these qualities that have contributed to me in my successful career of nursing. Working at Cleveland Clinic, I got a great opportunity to work with a group of doctors and coworkers who have the same mission in life and job as mine; “Put the patient first”. Making a positive impact on patient’s life, big or small, noticed or unnoticed, gives me a great sense of accomplishment and makes me proud to be a nurse.
