To cope effectively with the change, organizations must become more innovative, developing the ability to quickly plan and implement adoptions to change their environments.
There is a direct link between creativity and important organizational outcomes such as productivity and quality; because creative thinking increases the quality of solutions to organizational problems, helps to stimulate profitable innovations, revitalizes motivation, upgrades personal skills and catalyzes effective team performance. Therefore organizations must motivate creative thinking because it is obvious that the success of businesses in the rapidly changing future will be determined by their ability to become more creative.
Definition of Creativity:
Creativity is the generation of novel, useful, and predictable ideas that may meet perceived needs or respond to opportunities for the organization. In other words; creativity is seeing analogies where no one else sees them. Actually creativity is the essential first step in innovation, which is vital to long term organizational success.
The Creative Process:
Creativity is a complex process and it is really a part of most non-programmed decisions. Creativity is not something which can be saved for special occasions. On the other hand there are unique features for the creativity. The creative process is used to find problems, identify alternatives and implement solutions. The creative process has 5 basic steps:
a) Preparation: Creativity is not a passive activity; therefore the first step requires a thorough investigation to ensure that all parts of a problem are understood fully. During the preparation stage the employee gather the necessary information and concentrate on the problem or issue.
b) Concentration: In his step, personal or organizational energies and resources are focused on solving the problem, and a commitment is made to find and implement a solution.
c) Incubation: This is the stage of reflective thought. The employee put the problem aside (sometimes out of frustration), but the employee’s mind is still working on it unconsciously. This stage is usually a...

Richard Florida's The Rise of the Creative Class gives a very interesting look into the science behind creativity and a thorough understanding of the creative process. According to Florida, creativity is a cognitive ability separate from other mental functions and all aspects related to intelligence. Creative potential does benefit from intelligence though but creativity is still a capacity inherent to all but in varying degrees for each person. Creativity requires self-assurance and the ability to take risks, however, because people utilizing creativity are usually going up against orthodox ideas about things and are challenging the norm and receiving a lot of criticism for these innovations. One must be sure of their self to maintain belief in their innovation through all this criticism and must be willing to take a risk in introducing their product of creativity to the market in the face of all this criticism. Florida claims there are four steps to the creative process. The first is preparation in which the person intently studies the task at hand getting a good grasp of the concept in their mind. The next step is incubation which is still a relatively unknown process of how this works in the mind but what is known is that one must consciously and subconsciously study the concept in their mind. The next step is illumination in which the person sees a new synthesis for this concept. The final step is verification or revision which include all work after the illumination step. I found it interesting that creativity is largely based on experiences and creativity favors people with an intellect with diverse experiences and perspectives because of this. This is because creativity requires the synthesis of different perspectives to create something new and useful. I also found it interesting that many highly creative environments in the past such as China and the Islamic world have died out because of social and economic conditions and these places now are not thought of as creative and intellectual centers anymore. I also found the concept of New Growth Theory to be very interesting in that it is essentially the empowerment of every person through the power of ideas and intellectual property although this theory seems slightly optimistic when it is compared to Karl Marx's goal of the proletariat overthrowing the upper classes.

At first glance, creativity doesn’t seem like a difficult concept. Creative people are either geniuses who pump out innovative ideas day and night, or they are ordinary individuals who experience a sudden flash of genius, only to fade back into normality. This definition of creativity, along with many of the other versions an average person might come up with, is fundamentally flawed: it implies that people don’t have a choice in whether or not they could generate innovative ideas. This interpretation is extremely discouraging for anyone hoping to be successful in the age of technology, where ingenuity has replaced intelligence as the most important quality a person can possess. Luckily, creativity is not just an entity that some people possess and others don’t; it is a skill that people should strive to advance. Creativity and its development are common topics for psychologists and academics, and a plethora of research has been conducted on this subject.
Creativity is commonly thought of something as something that people either possess, or they don’t. However, creativity can often be altered - past research showed that moderate levels of noise improve creativity; thus, suggesting that the environment can influence creativity (Mehta, Zhu, Cheema, 2013). Additional research suggests that “happy music” is related to divergent thinking – being able to create new perspectives and ideas (Ritter & Ferguson, 2017). Our study aims to study the effect between the environment, noise, and creative thinking.
The reason why I am discussing it in terms of psychological issue in Society is that creativity is a non-linear thought-process of mind that we are now trying to systematize. (Prior, 2009) After all, it is about individual people using their brain in a way that would result in inno-vation, this might lead to re-organization of our working and living habits, because creativity requires different settings and stimuli than productivity, that has been in the center of our thinking since the industrial age. I recognize, that in this instance, I am not exploring a prob-lem as such, but rather an process where one particular cognitive skill has been rai...
In this article, researchers look at the assessment of creativity in job candidates. Creativity is essential for businesses to succeed. According to Amabile, Conti, Coon, Lazenby and Herron, (1996), consumer demands for innovation, reduction in product life cycles and fierce competition in the marketplace require job candidates to possess attributes of creativity. Amabile et al. (1996) defines creativity as “novel and useful ideas in any domain” (p. 1155). Examples of creativity are demonstrated by an individual’s ability to handle conflict resolution and utilize problem-solving skills. Furthermore, a creative individual is capable of being self-managed. Experience in working and leading teams is also considered characteristic of creativity (Malakate, Andriopoulos, & Gotsi, 2007).

The ability to reach the creative individual cannot be achieved through the traditional management organization. Creative people don't fit in very well in a hierarchical organization with traditional management techniques. To manage creatives, a new model must be developed. Organizations must take heed to the needs of creatives or be subject to losing these valuable resources.
What exactly is creativity? To be creative is to understand and connect the small details of our experiences, both good and bad (creative something). Creativity involves a person using his or her original ideas to create something. Artists such as poets, writers, painters, designers, and more use creativity on a regular basis. They use creativity to come up with new ideas and create original works of art. A poet would use his or her creative abilities to write and produce a poem just like a painter would use creativity to paint a painting.

Since we are born we have imagination and as we grow up this imagination may increase or decrease. Creativity strongly relies in our imagination. Depending on different circumstances people learn to express their creativity openly while other people close themselves and believe they do not have creativity. Creativity is a natural talent that every single human has. Creativity can be used to solve a complex problem in a different manner or just to find innovative ways to have fun. Creativity is thinking out of the box. Even though creativity cannot be taught from scratch there should be a class that is specific for creativity.
Some creative ideas are amazing, simple and others complex. Creativity is a process, and it improves when a person continually work hard and come out with new ideas. Harris (1998)
