Technology Today

Today’s technology gives people the opportunity to learn more about what is going on in today’s news. Radio, computer, newspapers and television are becoming more advanced, which helps informs people on a daily basis. It is very important to know what is going on in our world. Children should start getting more involved with learning about what’s going, and they should start learning in the classroom.

It has been said that reading national newspapers enables students to connect with a source of national power. During this time, our world is going through a lot of change, especially since 9/11. There is more news converge on the this particular topic being aired every day. Children should understand what is going on, and what is happening.

One way of receiving the news is the radio. The radio was born in 1895. The radio was born in 1895. The inventor was a man named Guglielmo Marconi. But even before the radio, there was a long distance communication invention, known as telegraphy. Telegraphy is a communication system able to transmit signals, which represent coded letters, numbers and signs of writing.

The definition of radio is the use of electromagnetic waves, lying in the radio frequency range, for broadcasting, two-way communication, ECT. People are able to listen to the radio anywhere; for instance, in the car, at home, at work.

Another way of retrieving information on current events worldwide is the Internet. “The internet had had a relatively brief, but explosive history. Some benefits to schools for discussing the news in the classroom are; sharpens students’ thinking skills, Increases students’ interest and motivation by providing study materials relevant to their lives, prepares students’ for active citizenship in their democracy, enables teachers to discover new teaching techniques, gets the school involved in their community, students are able to respond to the needs to employers for future job opportunities.

It is a necessity for higher learning for students to pay attention to the news. “Where the daily newspaper, the current issues of weekly and monthly magazines and other appropriate instruction aids were close at hand, there too we generally found more student interests, better informed classes, and more intelligent discussions with wider participation (Corbett et al, 1950)
