Proposal for the Beowulf Movie

That should probably be made cause is would be good.

A quick note On the title: I think that the best title for the movie would be The Wolf or something simple like that, cause actions movies need simple titles or people can’t remember them. I think that is the rule I cannot remember.

Anyway, the plot of the movie would follow the basic skeletal structure of the first part of Beowulf and his battle with Grendel and his mother. The dialogue would be kept simple this isn’t a talking head movie with people sitting in a coffee talking bitching about there love lives this isn’t friends so boundaries should probably be pushed.

To open the movie we will see some sort of panning down from the rooftops of taller building and slowly through the city until we reach a bar called “Mead’s Hall”. It is a dive bar on the outside but the interior is much more lavish and well designed. However luxrious the place would be it would still seem a little dingy like maybe someone forgot to clean the walls it just feels or looks sorta dirty. The camera would pause for a beat if not two from outside the bar Loud music should be playing from the background in such a way that you could tell that it coming from inside the bar.A man would leave the bar yelling drunking obscenities and stuff. After taking a quick look at the man the camera enters the bar through the front door and we get our first shot of the majority of the street gang that makes up the regulars of Ron Mead’s bar. Okay so there is that then the scene would focus on the main table I the establishment which is in the back and placed a little higher up to show that is most important. The camera would show the people at this table taking big drinks out ...

...ittle synopsis cover the theme of brother murder pretty well also I think the fact that this is all a manifestation of there violent lifestyle is shown pretty well so that is nice as well. God I really hope that this is enough for themes that happen in this movie I know I didn’t cover them all but at the same time I think I got a couple of the good ones. Religion will be worked in with the imagery of the city and the designs of the cars themselves picture abound on the next view pages. I apologize for this oversimplification but this is a movie and if it was too complicated people wounded understand what I was trying to say or what the theme were. I would just like to state again that I think I did a pretty good job coming up with a way to show that these people are leading to their own self destruction cause well if they weren’t it would be call self destruction.

Beowulf vs. The 13th Warrior Essay example - I have closely compared aspects of Beowulf with the film, “The 13th Warrior”. Beowulf, written down by an unnamed Christian Monk in the 18th century, served as framework for the plot of “The 13th Warrior”. Beowulf and The 13th Warrior have extensive differences and even more similarities throughout the two stories. The film was made to actually show the different aspects, techniques, and ways of thinking that the people of medieval times thought. It also helps to put you into a better perspective on what the story “Beowulf” was like....   [tags: Compare Contrast Beowulf 13th Warrior] 605 words

Essay about Beowulf V. 13th Warrior - After reading the epic poem Beowulf and watching the movie The 13th Warrior, I find that the differences greatly outnumber the similarities. However, the theme of good versus evil reflects the values of the Anglo-Saxon people in both the poem and the movie. Numerous differences exist in the poem and the movie including the characters, the bloody battles, and the deaths of the heroes.      Many differences occur in the poem and movie. The difference in the heroes names becomes obvious. In the poem the heroes name is Beowulf....   [tags: compare contrast poem movie film] 383 words

The Honourable Warrior in The Nibelungenlied and Beowulf Essay examples - A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but is the scent sweet the same for everyone. (line 1600, Romeo and Juliet ). If one person from a whole different culture or world believed that something sugary always has a hint of bitterness as well, would one still consider it the same kind of sweet as we do. With this in mind, the meaning and definition of the word honor presents us with the same situation. Considered as an important attribute in what defines warrior-hero, honor is what distinguishes himself from a rampaging animal and other people....   [tags: The Nibelungenlied, Beowulf] 1302 words

Wiglaf In Beowulf: A True Anglo-Saxon Warrior Essay - In the first part of the heroic poem Beowulf an old king Hrothgar is being helped by the young hero – Beowulf. In the second part, however, Beowulf himself is an old king and is being helped by Wiglaf. The question is, wether Wiglaf is simply a true Anglo-Saxon warrior, or, like Beowulf, he can be called a superhero. This essay will analyze this issue, by comparing the epithets used about Beowulf and Wiglaf, what they say and do. Essay on Beowulf: Fierce and Compassionate Warrior - The epic Beowulf is one of the oldest poems written in English. According to the Norton Anthology, "the poem was composed more the twelve hundred years ago, in the first half of the eight century. Its author may have been a native of what was Mercia, the Midlands of England today, although the late tenth-century manuscript , which alone preserves the poem, originated in the south in the kingdom of the West Saxons" (Norton 21). Although the poem is of English origin, it speaks of tribes (the Danes and the Geats) that are from the "Danish island of Zealand and southern Sweden respectively" (Norton 22)....   [tags: Epic of Beowulf Essays]

Essay on Beowulf: A True Pagan Warrior - In the epic poem Beowulf, the main character Beowulf demonstrates that he is a warrior who places heroism and bravery over his own well-being and life. These actions exemplify the pagan warrior mentality. God has granted him the greatest strength, allowing him to defeat all of his enemies. However, Beowulf also possesses a sense of morality. He will not harm any of his companions, even while intoxicated. His good deeds, and successful battles make him well-liked and respected. As a reward for his bravery and courage, Hygelac gives to Beowulf a mighty sword, adorned in gold, which surpasses any other swords of the Geats....   [tags: Epic of Beowulf Essays] 457 words
