By nature, children are curious. I do not agree with philosophers who believe that children are either good or evil. Instead, I believe that children want to take the world in and experience the new things life has to offer to shape their personalities. The nature of knowledge is very relevant to what point they are at in life and at what particular place. For example, if a child is raised in a place where there is nothing but put-downs, he too, will learn to put down himself and others. If a child is raised into a loving environment where independence is encouraged, he will grow up a loving, independent individual. Most learning takes place in the early years of life, therefore teaching them when they are younger is more important than waiting until early adult years. The ability to learn new things will be more difficult as children grow older.
Education should also begin with the parents. Learning the ABC’s and colors puts a child ahead in the learning process. Anything taught prior to school is an advantage. As a teacher, I want the satisfaction of knowing my students learned the basic knowledge of writing, reading, and much more.
There are many philosophies on education and they vary from subject area to disciplinary measures. One should not completely follow someone else’s example. Instead, they should base their theories on what they gain from their own experiences. Philosophies change and are often redundant in what they state. Still, they allow others to learn something they might not have ever considered before.

...th. Subjects such as art, sciences, and history should be taught in connection with reading and math. Teaching elementary school students should contain math and reading, but also subjects that require the use of gross motor skills.
My philosophy of education is difficult to express in writing. But what I feel on the inside, as a learning future educator, is that students need a caring, sensitive, understanding teacher who knows personally what can go on in a student’s personal life. A teacher who has no compassion for students should not be in the educating system. But, students need someone to help them learn and to make them understand things in a way that they would probably not know unless otherwise shown. The best philosophy would be to put all students first without bias and let them know that they can make anything happen if they let it.
