Hitler's Coming to Power in Germany

During Hitler’s adolescent years he became obsessed with politics and

spent most of his time reading and studying the writings of political

fascists such as Hegel, Nietschke and Trietscke. Although many

philosophers influenced Hitler’s ideas, most of them came from the

writings of a political extremist named Lanz Von Lieberfels. Hitler

believed that all people were divided into two groups – Aryan superman

and sub-humans, the worst of who were Jews. His goal in life was

eliminate or enslave all the non-Aryan people to make a perfect nation

that would rule the world. Hitler of course, would be the ultimate

ruler.

In 1913 Hitler moved to Munich, Bavaria, to avoid national service in

Austria. There he volunteered to serve in the army after the outbreak

of World War 1. He served as a dispatch runner, was promoted to

corporal, and later was awarded the Iron Cross, for conspicuous

bravery. Germany was forced to surrender from the war in 1918, due to

lack of supplies. This left a lot of tension and hatred towards the

new Weimar government because the people believed they had given away

Germany’s pride and welfare in the Versailles settlement.

After Germany surrendered they had to sign a treaty to their allies,

this was known as the treaty of Versailles. The conditions of the

treaty meant that Germany now had to pay back all reparations; this

was done to harm the German economy. The second condition of the

treaty stated that Germany was not to produce any military weapons or

provisions, along with that, Germany also had to cut back their army,

this was including police, to just 100,000 men. Germany w...

build up a name for himself, as well as, to get to know people in high

and powerful positions. After the war, Hitler enlisted in the

espionage section of an army regiment, and was assigned to spy on

political parties, this gave him the perfect opportunity to find and

join a group. When he found the German Workers Party, he joined them,

became leader, and changed their name to the Nazi Party. During The

Great Depression, many Germans lost faith in the Weimar government and

Hitler ceased this opportunity to gain popularity. After the

elections, Hitler joined together with the Social Democrat Party and

he did this still with his goal in mind. Soon he took over that Party

and became the ultimate leader as he had originally planned out many

years before. Hitler was an incredible organizer and a political

genius.
