Romeo's Change Throughout the Play Throughout this essay I am going to emphasize the key points as to how
and why Romeo's character changes during the play. I will also show
how in my opinion how he made me feel like he was a hero this will
include frequent explanations to his actions and behaviour changes.
At the beginning of the play Romeo is not your typical hero. He does
not show the characteristics and expectations of a stereotypical hero.
He is very emotional and passionate about his immediate feelings. Many
people are concerned about his distressing behaviour at the beginning
of the play. His friend Benvolio and his father Montague are worried
about his emotional state.
"Many a morning hath he there been seen with tears augmenting the
fresh morning's dew." At this point in the play Romeo does not prove
to be a hero type of character instead weakness shows through his
character. At this point in the play he is weeping tearfully in a
disheartened manner.
When Romeo enters the stage he is telling his good friend Benvolio why
he is in such miserable state. He explains that he in love with a
ravishing woman named Rosaline however the feeling is not mutual.
"Out of her favour where I am in love." This brings great sadness to
Romeo's weak heart. He constantly speaks in riddle and contradictions
which is very irritating and cannot be taken seriously as he is over
exaggerating about his sorrow.

love of Juliet changed him for the better. Yet true love did cause him
death but at the same time I believe that it caused him great
happiness to remain in Juliet's heart after death. At the start of the
play he would not have done that for Rosaline this shows his
commitment to true love. Romeo and Juliet I believe is all to do with
destiny and the day that they both dies does not mean that their
destiny died as true love last forever.
To conclude there are three types of heroes the first being 'super
heroes' who have inhuman powers such as flight. The second of which is
a life style hero who are people like firemen who risk there own life
to save another. The third of which Romeo fits into is a person who
dies for a cause they believe in. I believe that Romeo is hero in this
way as he died for love.
4. Juliet’s attitude changes because she knows that Romeo heard her expressing her love for him and she gets worried that things are moving too fast for her.
Romeo loses hope about being basinshed and instead of listening to the friar and listening to all of his options. We further learn that if Romeo hadn't left it wouldn’t have caused such a great calamity between him and Juliet. As teenagers we tend to lose patience very quickly, this causes us to not think through all our options and makes us lose hope. With a lack of patience comes a sense of mistaken and forgotten. Shakespeare in this scene explores this ironic scene and only if Romeo calmed down and listened to his options he would be such a different

Shakespeare employs multiple expedients to expose the impulsive and emotional characteristics in Romeo’s behavior and personality. In the first place, Romeo’s internal feelings and perceptions help determine his full character. Also, the way others view him contributes and aids in proving his disposition. In conclusion, Romeo’s own actions and responses support Shakespeare in drawing Romeo’s character. The world recognizes Romeo and Juliet as an unsurpassed and classic love story.

William Shakespeare’s well-known play Romeo and Juliet addresses the ill-fated love of two young children from feuding households set in Verona. Over the centuries since the play was first published around 1595, many different versions have been produced and reproduced. While the basic story remains the same in these different renditions, certain aspects of the play are handled very differently. Thomas Otway wrote one of the most varied versions in 1680 entitled The History and Fall of Caius Marius. Set in ancient Rome this version focuses much more on politics than a story of true love. With this variation many of the characters are in much varied roles. One of the most obvious character disparities is found in the title character of Romeo, or Marius junior as he is called in Otway’s version. While both versions of the male lead go through little or no character development, Romeo and Marius junior are very different in their regard and understanding of filial duty and responsibility. Due to the political context of Caius Marius, Marius junior is much more aware and receptive of his filial and social duty, while Romeo rejects any sort of filial or social responsibility.
The average person doesn’t meet someone, profess their love for them, and ask her hand in marriage all in one night… but Romeo does. In Shakespeare’s calamity of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is the idiot that does all of this. I blame Romeo for the death of these star-crossed lovers, along with the other four characters. If it wasn’t for his impetuous nature, none of this would have happened. Romeo’s relationship with Juliet could be more thought out and more planned. Although the play ended with his death included, without him Juliet and others would have kept their lives.

A character goes through many changes that depend on the kind of events they experience. The play “Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare, uses different tones and language that shows the readers that Juliet, a Protagonist, changes over time, proving the idea that she is a dynamic character. At the beginning of the play, we are introduced to a young, innocent and inexperienced girl, Juliet the daughter of Lord Capulet . She has not yet seen the real world and is raised by the person she trusts most, her nurse. Juliet begins as a naive child who has thought little about love and marriage, but she grows up quickly upon falling in love with Romeo, the son of her family’s great enemy. Due to the fact that Juliet is a girl in an aristocratic family, she has none of the freedom Romeo has to rome around the city, climb over walls in the middle of the night, or get into swordfights. As we begin to learn more about the character of Juliet, we learn that Juliet is not the girl she used to be anymore. She is more courageous and willing to break the rules. She goes against her and her family beliefs. In the beginning of the play she obeys her parents. But as the play descends Juliet is disregarding of what her parents say. She is no longer the innocent girl she use to be. Shakespeare use of language helps the reader to see the change in a character that makes them a dynamic character.
Throughout the play Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare in the 16th century, there is consistent theme of conflict featured in terms of both mental, physical and emotional means. The way this dispute is embodied throughout the duration of the play alternates subject to subject to the character in question- but can be represented through many means.
The significance of Juliet’s change in character is to show her accelerated transformation from a young girl into a mature woman. In the beginning of the play Juliet is unable to make her own decisions. However after her meeting with Romeo, Juliet becomes more assertive and defends her love for Romeo. In conclusion, individuals cannot be forced to love; love is nurtured and nourished but also is always put to test.
