Adolf Hitler did not come to power in the traditional revolutionary manner. He attempted to take control by force one time and failed. This landed him in prison. The second time Hitler was ready and by manipulation and lies he got himself elected to political office. By March 23, 1933 Hitler was dictator. The rise and sudden fall of Hitler had a sensational effect on people and nations around the world.
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau, Austria. His mother was Klara Hitler and father was Alois Hitler. Alois worked as a customs officer on the border crossing. Hitler's ancestors were peasants, small independent farmers or village craftsmen. His father was the first to break away. Contrary to the impression Hitler conveyed in Mein Kampf, he was neither poor nor harshly treated. His father advanced steadily in the service, and ended the highest rank open to a civil servant of his education. He had a secure income as well as the social standing of an imperial official and when he died he left his widow and children well provided for. His mom was twenty-two years younger than his father. Hitler was a choirboy, in the Benedictine Monastery of Lambach. Hitler did not do well in school. One of the teacher in his high school classified young Hitler as notorious and willful. Adolf saw no real reason to stay in high school. He left school at age sixteen without a leaving certificate. In September 1907, Hitler left home taking with him all the money left to him by his father, who had died a few years earlier. Deep anger about the first world war and the treaty of Versalies created an underlying bitterness in the German people which Hitlers viciousness and expansionism appealed, so the perty gave him support. He was imprisioned after the 1923 unich Bear hall putsch. The Bear hall putsch resulted in the deaths of four officers. He was sentenced to five years, during that time he wrote Mein Kampf. He was named chancellor on January 30, 1933 by president Paul Van Hidenburg. His rise to power could have ended if the Enabling Act of 1933 was not adopted. The Enabling Act of 1933 meant that Hitler could enact laws and endemocract in Germany. The Nazi party used force to scare the German Governmant into voting for the act. The day the voting for the Nazi troopers gathered outside the opera house, chanting,"Full power or else." under Hitlers rule, Germany was transformed into a racist totlaitarian state which controlled nearly all aspects for everyones life.

According to my reading, Hitler came into power one day after Roosevelt’s inauguration, March 5, 1933. He had begun his dictatorship of Germany as he had planned. Adolf Hitler was a man of innovation and much hate. He had been a soldier in WWl and he blamed the Jews for Germany’s loss. The loss angered him deeply. The party was transformed by Hitler and became a political party rather than the discussion group that it had been when he joined. The SA (Brownshirts) was formed to protect Hitler and other party leaders at meetings. It also disrupted the meetings of the Nazi’s political opponents.

Hitler began to work his way up the ranks of the German government, riding on the wave of his fame. Eventually he rose to the position of Chelcellor, secound in command. Biding his time, the current President pasted away (Some say of natural causes some say not) and then got rid of the position of President. This made him the leader of Germany and eventually bacame a dictator.
