Elementary School Teacher

Elementary school teachers teach pupils at levels kindergarten through sixth grade or, in some cases, through eighth grade a wide range of academic, social, emotional, and motor skills. They plan and present programs of instruction using methods and materials to meet the needs of the students. In order for all this to happen though, Elementary School Teachers must have a passion for educating as well as love children.

Education requires dedication, organization, and thought out lesson plans on a daily basis. To ensure that the students get top-notch education, teachers attend staff meetings, serve on committees, and attend workshops or in-service training activities. When students get restless of being indoors, they have a special designated spot in their schedule reserved for outdoor activities, which they are responsible for. They must be willing to Prepare bulletin boards, correct papers and tests, and keep records and reports of the student. Every year, a teacher must evaluate student performance, and when need be, counsel pupils with academic and adjustment problems. As a result, they must not mind to take the papers home to read, check, and grade. But in class, they have an important job. Teachers may have up to 30 students looking up to them as an inspiration and...

The Importance of Using Creative Methods of Teaching in Elementary School

- Thinking like a child seems harder to do, as we grow older. We lose touch with our inner imagination, and begin to think in a robot fashion. All of our creativity, originality, and imagination are concealed behind our new adult philosophy of doing daily routines, and fitting in with others. But why do we try so hard to fit in with everybody else. Weren’t we taught in elementary school that being different is OK. What has happened to us. When did things become so black and white in our world. Perhaps it is that parts of our minds are trained by secondary, and college professors to become uniform thinkers, or maybe it happens inside ourselves as we grow....   [tags: Early childhood education, teacher, primary]

Teaching The Slow Learner In Elementary School Essay

- Abstract An underachiever in school can find themselves grouped under a generalized classification much too easily. A child should not be grouped with a group of underachievers and be placed under one certain classification and this happens much too often in our schools. A teacher must be aware of very specific and very personal problems that can cause a child to be considered an underachiever or a slow learner.
