Being the President of the United States of America is without a doubt, the most important job in American government. For someone to become the next President, they must earn votes from the public. The Democratic and Republican candidates go through a lot to make their mark on the voters. This year, as a Republican candidate, we have Donald Trump. Trump launched his presidential campaign on June 16, 2015. As an extremely wealthy businessman and television personnel, Trump’s run for presidency has shaken some people; but not everyone is against him. His favorable number of votes in the state elections give off the idea that Trump actually has a decent chance at winning the whole election. . The votes for elections always lead to predictions. …show more content…
In an article from Inquisitr, it starts off by saying that Trump is simply an attention seeker; but as his number of supporters grew, so did the chance that Trump can take the election. Now, Trump is seen as a front runner and is campaign is taken very seriously. With turning to six different polls for a prediction, two of the Republican pollsters “believe that the circumstances are so ripe for Republicans that Trump could win just on lingering resentment towards Barack Obama.” While Trump winning the presidency might not seem like such a terrible idea to some, others seem to believe that it could lead to drastic events for America. “Some of the most likely scenarios included an economic collapse or a major terrorist attack — none are outside the realm of possibility.” Pollsters from Vox, seems to believe that Trump predicting a terrorist attack could help him win the presidency. “His only shot to win in the general is the 'I told you so ' campaign, if there is a major, major terrorist attack," Amandi says. "In the casino magnate style that has always been his life and persona, he is betting it all on this one issue." And Trump already claims to have predicted
Immigration has always been a hot topic in America. There are many pros and cons, which makes it a delicate issue when it comes to debates. In an attempt to reform immigration, President Obama has issued an executive order that will overhaul the nation’s immigration system as we know it. The president’s changes will affect nearly 11 million undocumented immigrants who are currently residing in America. Focusing on 4 main changes, Obamas’ plan focuses on many aspects from enhancing border security to developing new processes in which workers can enter the country.
It is obvious the Republican Party has no brains. If they elect Donald Trump to run for president, they are going to lose big time. They can blame themselves for being so stupid. The establishment runs the Republican Party. They are the ones who lose major elections. The leadership of the Republican Party shifts the blame to conservative wing of the Republican Party; however, it is the moderate wing of the Republican Party who loses elections. Does John McClain ring a bell? If the Republican Party hopes to win the presidency, they must run a conservative or face another trouncing in the next election. It is that simple. Therefore, the Republicans had better wake up fast if they want to
This may not have been so damaging, if only Donald Trump had any political experience whatsoever, but he has none (Project Vote Smart). Karl Rove, former President Bush’s chief political advisor, once said that being the President of the United States may b...
Donald Trump is a highly successful business titan, real estate mogul, reality television personality, and now a 2016 presidential candidate. Since announcing his candidacy this past June, he has been very loquacious on his views pertaining to foreign policy. He takes a very realist approach when addressing these issues. His views are very much in line with the belief that the international political arena is not dominated by altruistic ideologies, but rather nation-states that are self-interested. His foreign policy platform centers on using hard power to achieve America’s goals in the Middle East and to eradicate illegal immigration.
The 2016 presidential election has been one of the most talked about elections because of one man, Donald Trump. When the billionaire real estate mogul announced that he would be running for the Republican Party candidacy in the 2016 presidential election, he sent this country into an uproar. Donald Trump, who has never shied away from the media, has become one of the most talked about presidential candidate in history. On the day of his announcement for the republican candidacy, he sparked controversy because of his comment about the Mexican people, stating:
Trump assures voters he will defend their second amendment right to bear arms, an issue many Republicans feel very passionately about. Other issues such as his tax reform plan are designed to appeal to middle class workers frustrated with their jobs or lack of jobs as trump assures voters if elected he will bring business, trade, and jobs back to America. One issue Trump addresses that is also a huge stance the Republican party overall has taken is that he will repeal the Affordable Care Act, and overall he will save our nation from the turmoil and trouble that President Obama and a Democratic executive branch has gotten this nation
Because Donald Trump wanted to become a Presidential Candidate to shake up America and our way of choosing a Commander in Chief he has taken the focus off of other candidates. To me, he has done just that. In turn, he has also showcased a lot of his ignorant behavior and poor attitudes towards others. Eventually, this will affect how America votes; against Donald Trump. Furthermore, Donald Trump lacks a Presidential form of social interaction. This candidate appears to be impatient when others challenge his position on facts versus his opinions. When he dislikes someone politically or personally, Trump uses his popular attack-mode tactics to make his point. Repeatedly Donald Trump fails to be intellectually stimulating as a Presidential Candidate. Often he has a habit of stating his offensive
Donald Trump has brought up some good points during his campaign running but that still doesn’t stop him from being an arrogant guy running for president. He states “Stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons,” that’s a great idea but how is he going to stop that from happening. He can’t stop say stop and expects it to be done, he has to think about his plans and how he is thinking of stopping Iran.
Donald Trump is a republican politician and businessman who was elected on November 8, 2016, as the president of United States taking the power in January of 2017. Trump brought many worries to a lot of people in the U.S.A and abroad which made them unhappy, but his presidency also made many people happy, especially Christians and republicans. I personally did not watch the debates, but I was able to hear about it on people around me, as most of the people that I know wanted Hillary Clinton to win because they saw so much of discrimination on Trump. Trump focused his campaign and debates on focusing on changing America for better, but the better changes were saying was only to give the opportunities to Americans only, cutting off the opportunity
Examining Trump’s rhetoric and past actions, it becomes clear that Trump’s ability to be the leader of America, especially in today’s already heated world climate, becomes questionable. When even the members of his own party refuse to endorse him and claim that he is not qualified to run a country, the general public needs to sit back and question his integrity. In Trump’s past, he has proven to be an insensitive, racist, greedy business man. Why would he prove to be any different once elected to office?
As a result of extreme hard work and perseverance followed by an unmatchable drive to succeed, Donald J. Trump has earned the right to be known as a multi-billionaire, real estate icon, and President of the United States of America. Reflecting on his life, he has faced many challenges and overcame them all. To understand how he rose to success and his journey to the top of the kingpin, it is important to recognize how he saw the American dream and pursued it. Today, many recognize him as the president, but very few can fully grasp all that he has done in his life. From his start as a real estate mogul, to his impact on the media, there are many questions as to how he became so recognizable today.
After 229 years, it is time for a major change in the White House. The change needs to be different, confident, and positive. The change that is needed to be great again is Donald Trump. Trump is already changing America for the better and is likely to win the Republican general election with his skyrocketing support from Americans. Trump shakes the nation with his energizing force, which gets people’s attention. He should be the president of the United States for many reasons. He is different from a regular politician, his confidence is contagious, he is tough on immigration, he wants to return manufacturing jobs to America, and lastly, he has more a more aggressive trade stance than his competitors.
Immigration reform has been one of the “hot” topics that have been consistently at the forefront of many American discussions. At this time, there are more illegal immigrants in our country than legal immigrants. This is a major controversy in the realm of other social policies. Illegal immigration, or undocumented immigrants, refers to foreign people entering the United States without government permission or violating the immigration law. This is typically done by sneaking into the country or staying beyond the allotted time frame.
From CNN, to The New York Times, to ENews forecast all websites and newscasts were telling voters that Clinton was for sure to be the next president of the United States of America. An article from the New York Times website clearly said that the chances of winning Hillary Clinton was 85%. Whereas Donald Trump only had a 15% chance of winning. The data was based solely on pre-election polls as of Election Day (Katz). Inspite of the pre-election polls, the exact Election results proofed quite the opposite. This evidence helped the reassure Hillary voters and be confident of her
As both "conservatism" and "liberalism" have had various meanings sooner or later and transversely countries, the word liberal conservatism has been used in relatively different sanity. In political science, the word is used to pass on to ideologies that merge the support of capitalism, for instance value for contracts, protection of private property and free market require reference to validate with the principle in natural discrimination, the significance of religion, and the worth of traditional integrity need reference to validate in the course of a construction of inadequate, legitimate, representative government (Abdou & Zaazou 2013). It contrasts with traditional liberalism and particularly aristocratic conservatism, rejecting the belief of correspondence as a little in discordance with human nature, instead emphasizing the thought of natural inequality (Crozier. 2012).As the conservative thought in democratic countries hold typical liberal institutions such as the rule of law, private property, market economy, and constitutional representative government, the liberal factor of liberal conservatism
