The PPM process for Information Technology (IT) project is different from conventional construction process. In IT industry, collection of information from the right source is crucial to successfully implementing the project as variation will continually to pour in and eventually costing budget overrun and delay (Ren & Dewan, 2015). Constantly evaluate the project performance and with the right resource allocation provide a cushion to any potential risk. In the following section, we will review WBF adopted PPM process (fig.2) and how these process are track and review in order to formulate a better strategy (“Improving the Project Prioritization Process,” n.d.).

To perform PPM process for our case project, we follow the following four steps:

1. Inventory:
Based on ecommerce perspectives, our major inventory is our client database. In our database, we store different types of information such as basic information and banking details, such as credit card or private/company bank account number.

2. Analyse:
In E-commerce industry, business owner or consumer face transactional risk. Many business owner and consumer have been paying the price of not treating these risk seriously. There are multiple risks associated with E-commerce and these risk are(“eCommerce Business Plan,” n.d.): -
- Informational Risk
- Transactional Risk
- Operational Risk
- Unauthorized Access Risk
- Technology Risk
- Security Risk
- Business Risk
