1) Research Problem:
The problem evident in the article, “Nurse was managing Limpopo Hospital (1),” is that due to the fact that there is poor management in the clinics and hospitals is causing problems in the health of the patients. This is due to the fact that poorly managed hospitals are leading to doctors as well as other staff being absent from work or being late. Another problem is that due to poor management the treatment is not appropriate when patients are very ill. It is evident that this is causing problems in the health of patients, as there have been four infant deaths. This is as a result of incompetent managers leading to nurses having to manage the hospital when they should be treating patients. It is also due to the nurses having to perform extra roles, which may be outside of their professional scope, and they are therefore not performing up to standards in the areas they are meant to be practicing in.
Justification of the Research Problem:
a) The article and therefore the research problem brings about the concern that nurses and possibly other health care practitioners are practicing outside of the scope that they have been formerly trained in.
b) It brings about concern as to the fact that there is poor management, which is causing infant deaths. The fact that the hospital is poorly managed leads to poor treatment of patients receiving care at the hospital and therefore affects the experience that the have.
c) It also brings about concern over the fact that some healthcare professionals at the hospital, such as doctors, are not working or are late for work. Therefore the reasons for this may be investigated.
d) The fact that this is happening in one hospital also brings about concern whether or not it is happe...

The nursing shortage in the healthcare setting, can result in decreased quality of care with the patient and this can have a significant impact on the financial aspect of the organization. As time changes, there are more acute illnesses being presented in the hospital as a result of the patient prolonging to seek medical treatment. The delay in seeking medical treatment often stems from the patient not having health insurance and seeking home remedies as an alternate method of treatment. When the patient present to the hospital with multiple acute illnesses, the staff should be skilled, ready and available to render the necessary treatment for the patient. The idea of nursing shortage, poses the risk and outcome of poor
In this assignment I am going to discuss the role of the Nurse and how
Health care professionals want to promote health and relieve human suffering. When people go to a hospital they are expecting to get the best care possible. Patients put their trust in the employees of any medical facility as they seeking help from you. Nurses like Justin is not giving the best care to his patients by forgetting to give medications and not following through on orders. When Justin forgets such things he is putting the patients’ health
A nurse manager plays an important role on a hospital unit. Evans defines the role of a nurse manager as one who makes sure all the needs required on a daily basis are accomplished (Evans, 2011). Evans goes on to say that one primary responsibility of a nurse manager acting in the position of a leader is to “raise the level of expectation and help employees reach their highest level of potential excellence” (Evans, 2011). With this said, it is important to identify potential barriers and problems that a nurse manager would face on a given unit and create or adopt evidence-based interventions to eliminate these problems. When this is accomplished, it will help to foster a work environment that maintains safety to patients as well as staff.

Occupational therapy was based off of psychology; we evolved from treating mentally ill patients with isolation as an efficient treatment plan. We must never forget we are known to be “the art and science of helping people do the day-to-day activities that are important and meaningful to their health and well being through engagement in valued occupations” (Crepeau, Cohn, & Schell, 2008). To other professional disciplines this article explains the difference between each of us, yet can also express our relation to one another. The basic goal of all therapeutic disciplines is to better our clients life, through physical, speech or occupational therapy. Every discipline targets different goals, may it be body mechanics, reducing a stutter or buttoning a shirt, at the end of the day our clients well being may it be through science, art or both is all that matters. To the occupational therapy field this article means progress for what we do. Reading this article today in the year 2015 did not seem like old information to me, it is still relevant, I am proud that our field is not only evolving with contemporary time but it is also maintaining its
However, we are looking at a case study where patients safety has been compromised, professionalism has been voided, lack of communication, nurses aren’t liable for their work, the duty of care has been breached and lot more issues can be discovered. Which will be incorporated in this paper. Looking at the patient Christopher Hammett

Advocacy in action paper is to examine various issues in nursing staffing in the hospital and the impact of this issue on the patient’s care and patient satisfaction. Every nurse role and mission is to take care of a patient and advocate for a safe and healthy work environment. It is very important for all nurses to work together, successfully advocate for nurses and the profession to achieve a safer work environment. My role in this paper is to advocate for improvement, practicing safe in the hospital to improve patient satisfaction and reduction in nurse burnout.
Since the 1990’s, the interest in nursing and the profession as a whole has decreased dramatically and is still expected to do so over the next 10-15 years according to some researchers. With this nursing shortage, many factors are affected. Organizations have to face challenges of low staffing, higher costs for resources, recruiting and reserving of registered nurses, among liability issues as well. Some of the main issues arising from this nurse shortage are the impact of quality and continuity of care, organizational costs, the effect it has on nursing staff, and etc. However, this not only affects an organization and community, but affects the nurses the same. Nurses are becoming overwhelmed and are questioning the quality of care that each patient deserves. This shortage is not an issue that is to be taken lightly. The repercussions that are faced by both nurses and the organization are critical. Therefore, state funding should be implemented to private hospitals in order to resolve the shortage of nurses. State funds will therefore, relieve the overwhelming burdens on the staff, provide a safe and stress free environment for the patient, and allow appropriate funds needed to keep the facility and organization operational.
improving the quality of care, it is important to begin by defining quality. Quality is purposed by
