As Woodrow Wilson said, political science is an instrument of insight. Political scientists help us to understand decisions and conditions set upon society by our government. Political scientists can be used as advisors, analyzers, researchers, and much more. They break down and explain the decisions made by our governments and predict what they're going to do next. I think political science is the greatest degree for a student who wants to make a difference politically. Political science is a road to success for many people. Evidence for that statement is shown throughout the history of political science.
Political science has been around for centuries. As stated in the encyclopedia of careers and vocational guidance, “Political science is one of the oldest social sciences” that being said, it has been around for a very long time. Over time, ideals have changed, and political science has changed along with it. As we grew as people, so did political science. Many of the old ideals and theories of political science are still around today. As also said in the Encyclopedia of careers and vocational guidance, "The ideas of many political scientists still influence current political theories". You can go places with a political science degree. A political science and law degree is a great foundation to get into congress and make a change in our world. Who knows, maybe one day you'll end up in the Oval Office with your political science degree.
