Play can be incorporated into language arts and reading by having story time and reading to the children or simply giving them books so that they can create their own stories. Play can be integrated into science if there is an inquiry-based approach to teaching. Experiments are a good way for children to explore and find the answers to their own questions about the world. It is easy to incorporate play into math. There are so man everyday experiences that require math in a child’s everyday play. For instance, the educator could have the children line up and count out their snacks or build a tower. Letting children use materials in the environment to experiment and play will help them understand better and enjoy learning.
