In 2012, more than 236,000 cometic procedures were preformed on patients nineteen-years-old or younger. Plastic surgery has become extremely popular in this generation especially teenagers. Plastic surgery is the remodeling or reshaping of the body parts. Society has put this picture in a women 's head of a perfect face or body. People are disappointed in the way their bodies look because they aren 't what others think is “perfect”. They want a change. They want to be apart of this tend. But have you ever thought about the risks you are taking as a teen who 's body is still changing? This reality television show is aired on E! Network. In the show Botched Dr. Terry Durbow and Dr. Paul Nassif see patients that have received plastic surgery but unfortunately did not end up with the best results. Their goal is to fix these surgical mistakes and make these individuals look the way they want to. They also see patients that want a procedure that is too risky that other surgeons refuse to preform. One of the stories aired on Botched was a women named Desiree who was referred to a “great and wonderful” doctor by her mother in Tijuana, Mexico. Desiree went to Mexico for a tummy tuck and after her procedure she ended up with her vagina near her belly button. Desiree went to Dr. Dubrow for help. He says that he has never seen anything like this before. It was strange to him. Desiree’s wish was to have a flat stomach and her vagina to be put back in its right place. In Tijuana the surgeon used ice to numb her. By doing that it killed a lot of the tissue around Desiree’s stomach area. The corrective surgery is very ricky because Desiree may not have enough loose skin to operate with. Winter clothing also makes it easier to hind these surgical changes. July through August is not the ideal time for plastic surgery.
