Some present-day readers believe slavery began in Jamestown in 1619…if such readers are aware of slavery’s existence in the ancient world, the assume it had become extinct until New World plantations arose with their greed for cheap labor.

Slavery started in the year 1619 in the Northern American colonies and continued to grow

Slavery existed in the English colonies of mainland North America soon after they were established. In fact, the first African slaves in the colonies arrived in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619, twelve years after the settlement was founded and a year before the Mayflower arrived in Plymouth, Massachusetts. But it did not take root in the first few decades, with just over a thousand Africans in the colonies by 1650. Between then and 1720, though, slavery underwent a period of rapid growth and soon became a critical part in the economies of the southern colonies. The growth of slavery in the colonial South was brought about by geographic, economic, and social factors.
Slavery can be followed in time as far back as when settlement began in America. The first town established in the New World was Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607, and the first slave arrived on the continent in 1619. European pioneers that colonized North America brought slaves with them to help settle the new land, work their plantations growing valuable cash crops such as tobacco and sugar, and to cook and clean in their homes. Most people didn 't see slavery as a problem at this time because it was quite rare in the New World with only a few wealthy landowners who owned slaves, however, public opinion changed through time.
Slavery was created in pre-revolutionary America at the start of the seventeenth century. By the time of the Revolution, slavery had undergone drastic changes and was nothing at all what it was like when it was started. In fact the beginning of slavery did not even start with the enslavement of African Americans. Not only did the people who were enslaved change, but the treatment of slaves and the culture that each generation lived in, changed as well.

According to Wikipedia, Slavery in the United States was the legal institution of human chattel that existed in the United State of America in the 18th and 19th centuries after it gained independence and before the end of the American Civil War. Slavery was practiced in British North America from the early colonial days. It was also in all of the thirteen colonies of the time of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. BY the time of the American Revolution (1775-183), the slaves already had associated with African Ancestry.
Slavery began when the Dutch introduced the first captured Africans and brought them to America, slowly creating a slavery system that evolved into a nightmare of abuse and cruelty that would create split between the nation.
One of the first historians to address slavery in Africa was Walter Rodney, he stated that the Europeans demanded labor with the shipment of African Americans in the New World. These people believed the slave life was a typical day in a community as the slave owners were African American as well and they worked together to finish their cropping’s, as their women stayed home and did their stay at home duties. When it came to American slavery it has stated that slavery first launched in America, when the first group of African Americans were transported to the Northern part of America which is recognized as Jamestown, Virginia in 1619. (Slavery in America) The reason why Europeans brought these people were to crop tobacco, then later turned into cotton picking. After word got out that Europeans were shipping African American for a very cheap price, Americans began to contribute to the slave trade and it then spread all over the world. According to the article “Slavery in America,” some of the other historians have estimated that about six to seven million slaves were brought to the New World during the 18th century. Whenever it come to the research paper, I struggled tremendously. The topic for the paper was “How to do Good Research.” While brainstorming I began to get overwhelmed. I have never done a research paper before and I didn 't know where to start. This is where I can grow as a writer. Acquiring more knowledge on how to research accurately and correctly would be helpful. There is an abundance of information online, trying to sort through it all is mind-boggling. For the research paper, the topic I chose was breast cancer. I spoke about why I chose to do research on breast cancer, because my aunt battled with breast cancer a few years ago and died. The research I conducted was to inform my readers about breast cancer. My research paper contained what is breast cancer that was introduce in my first paragraph. In my paper, there were examples of symptoms such as, pulling in of the nipple and the discharge coming out of the nipple, statistics in men and women, causes of breast cancer, treatments of breast cancer, and ways to reduce risk of breast cancer.
When candidate is facing with unfamiliar topics, preparing an outline is a helpful tool to guide himself/herself through the process of compositing assignment. Having a clear outline can assist candidate in seeking sources to support his/her own ideas instead of compiling ideas from other authors.
