It takes a unique individual to want to become a Physical Therapist. These professionals have a lot of personal traits that are a must need to excel in the Physical Therapy field. A Physical therapist could be faced with a patient/client that might be angry, sad, or confused, so being able to relate to these individuals is a great quality all therapist must have. These personal traits are skills like being relaxed and determined, supportive, and of course knowledgeable. Like every profession in the medical field even Physical Therapist need to be relaxed and determined. This is a must have personal trait because therapists that are very knowledgeable are trusted by their patients, which makes the patients more comfortable about the therapy process. If a therapist sets up a whole intervention that is does not treat the certain injury they would be considered not that knowledgeable because they did not set up a correct intervention to produce the best results for the patient. All physical therapist should be well knowledgeable and educated with all of the education a person must go through to become a physical therapist. To become a physical therapist, a student must got to school and get his or her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. So if a student is receiving a Doctorate then he or she must be able to perform correct interventions and be able to correctly assign specific patients to the right Physical Therapist Assistants that would be able to have the most impact on that …show more content…

The personal traits that a therapist have no necessarily only affect the therapist but they also affect the patient/client and their experience with the therapy process. That's why having these personal traits makes the professionals job much better but it also makings the experience for the patient better. There are a lot more of personal traits that would be great to have but the these specific ones are the must have to be able to thrive in this profession.
