Philosophy in a simple language means love for wisdom and I think everybody loves wisdom but not all people are aware about the importance of Philosophy and its role in shaping the better society. As most people I also was not aware about the importance and gravity of philosophy as well. In fact, I always thought philosophy was a pretty inconsequential and vague subject until I took the philosophy course this semester. My perceptions and thoughts about the subject has changed significantly afterwards. The course was completely different than my expectation and its changing ever since. I have learned many new things that certainly will be helpful for me throughout my life. I have always had a love for wisdom but I had never considered myself as philosopher. The awareness and understanding given by this course are empirical. For example; To approach any problem, we need to have some knowledge and understanding about it. Then, we can combine those interpretations to find a best possible solution to the issue and this particular skill comes from the study of philosophy. And throughout my educational and professional career I am bound to face many of these problems and after taking this class I am self-sufficient to solve these problems. Also, since all institutions are based on some philosophy and they require particular responsibility, as I mentioned earlier that this class made me aware of my responsibility and duties as various being in this world. This class has made me understand the responsibility towards these institutions such as education, family, society, government, religion and industry.
