Persons Define Reality Based on Their Life Experiences

Theoretical orientation was primarily reflective of the works of Carl Rogers, Karen Horney, William Glasser, Alfred Adler and many more theories. An important aspect of my theoretical position is that persons define reality based on their life experiences. It is this personal perception of reality, which governs behavior independent of the facts as others see them. Perceptions of reality are based upon the persons' view of themselves, the world in which they live, and the meanings events have for them. Everything a person does is reasonable and necessary at the time the person is doing it. People perform the best they can under a given set of circumstances; if persons knew in a moment how to behave more effectively they would do so.
I view humans as beings who are that that they might enjoy life. This statement indicates that all persons were meant to have fulfilling lives free from the emotional problems. All persons have the right to intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual actualization, as they desire, without all of the constraints that society places upon them. Persons are responsible for their existence, being free to choose. They are responsible for the consequences of their actions. Each person carves his/her destiny and essence, his/her inner being the product of his/her actions. The way a person lives their life determines what he/she is. The existence of persons is an active ongoing process where persons define their being.
I personally feel that everyone should have values that are important in their life. I feel that values is a set of rules and regulations that an individual makes for them as a guide on how they would like to live life, and also, how they would like others to view them. As person we a...

...ty is based on personal preference; it is not determined by racial characteristics. It is often in part determined by language preferences, religion, lifestyle or birthplace, and may be modified by the individual life experiences.
In conclude that Gestalt therapy has opened up a lot of creative and helpful innovations in the theory and practice of psychotherapy. This therapy will help clients gain a better understanding of how their emotional and physical bodies are connected. Understanding the internal self is the key to understanding actions, reactions and behaviors. It point out that it also helps a client take the first step into this awareness so that they can acknowledge and accept these patterns. Through a journey of self-discovery, this form of therapy also allows a client with the skills necessary to face stressful situations
