My results said that I have an ISFJ personality. My scores were introvert (56%), Sensing (31%), Feeling (16%), and Judging (44%). The assessment stated that ISFJs frequently find themselves in occupations that either involves a lot of dealings with other people and require thoroughness and persistence. They work in organizations of various sizes and industries, where as a rule they work with people. Very often ISFJs recognize their potential in healthcare (nurse, patient care, and medical services, as well as administrative jobs) and several community care organizations. I do agree with some of the Jung Typology Seal assessments. I agree with being an introvert since I am a person that is reserved and to myself half of the time, but, on the other hand, I do like to serve others. I do not agree that I am overworked. If I get to the point to where I feel overworked, I will go to my boss and discuss the matter, so that I can get help with my work before resulting in some of extent psychosomatic illnesses. I agree with the part about working best with a small group or one-on-one situation. I also agree with the traditional careers for ISFJs attitude that include: teaching, social work, most religious work, nursing, clerical and secretarial work of any kind, and some …show more content…
One of the occupations that interested me on the Bureau Labor of Statistics website was Registered Nurse. This occupation interested me since I have always been a person that likes to help others. The quick facts about this occupation are that the median pay is 65,470 per year. The entry- level education that a worker needs to be an RN is to receive an Associate degree. The job outlook is 19% faster than average. Registered nurses (RNs) are responsible for and manage patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide guidance and emotional support to patients and their family members. The work environment for registered nurses is to work in hospitals, physicians ' offices, home health care services, and nursing care facilities. Others work in prisons, schools, or serve in the military. The next occupation that I chose was secretaries and administrative assistant. This occupation, interest me because I 'm already an administrative assistant, and I wanted to see the quick facts about it. The quick facts about this occupation are that the median pay is 35,330 per year. The entry-level, education that a worker needs to become a secretary or administrative assistant is a high school diploma or
The four personality preference ISTF – Introvert, Sensing, Thinking and Judging, joined together to form the person that I am. After the completion of the Meyers-Briggs Personality test, I understand how I am and how I can better relate to other personalities. Being willing to change and adapt to my strengths will help me grow as a leader.
Also, on another website I found that the ISFJ personality type is naturally social, which made me believe in the Jung Typology test a little more. I also identified with the ISFP personality, I believe that I am more like the ISFP personality type when I’m outside of school. Some IFSP traits I identify with is artisticness, the random need to do something, not wanting to control nor be controlled, and being a tactile learner. Tho only thing I disagree with for the ISFJ personality is the whole memory thing because I don't have that great of a memory. I can remember events and what happened, but I can't remember details like how the article
People who have the ISFJ personality are generally exceptionally observant of everything around them. ISFJs can usually tell someone else’s emotional state, and if it is a terrible state, ISFJs try to be there for the person and try to support them. ISFJs are happy to comfort people and are excessively reliable when it comes to friends and family. ISFJ personality is also enthusiastic with their words and actions in front of loved ones. The imaginative side they hold also adds to their enthusiasm.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, fishing, hiking, building model wooden ships, the longest took me 3 years to build. When I lived in California I enjoyed riding horses, packing in the back country, as well as gathering cattle with friends.
The intent of taking a personality test is to determine which of the sixteen personality types a person belongs. Knowing your personality type can help you explore suitable occupations and careers (“Jung Typology Test”, 2017). It can also help determine which communication and learning styles suit you best (“Jung Typology Test”, 2017). The results of my Jung Typology Test revealed that I am an ISTJ. My percentages are 28% introverted, 28% sensing, 25% thinking, and 62% judging. Based on my personality type, I am one of four personality types that fall under the guardian temperament. From my research, I hope to learn more about my personality type and how I can use it to my advantage as I progress along my Air Force career.
It is also found that ISFJ personality types are often underappreciated at work, home and in their regular lives. What is odd about this is that even though they can prove that they are reliable and produce high quality work, they are often taken for granted. This is because they are not good at delegating work and are not willing to show off their accomplishments. Most ISFJs have great memories and analytical abilities. They work best in small groups and make pleasant and reliable co-workers but do not often feel comfortable in supervisory positions. They form great bonds with co-workers but they are personal bonds rather than institutional loyalties. The career outlook for someone who is an ISFJ is best in “teaching, social work, most religious work, nursing, medicine (general practice only), clerical and secretarial work of any kind, and some kinds of administrative careers.” (Jung, n.d.) ISFJs consider their families to be the first priority however; they have a few close friends. ISFJs do not like confrontation and often hide their feelings. I feel that these personality traits put together describe me to a T. In my work life I often feel underappreciated because I do not know how to not give 110% all the time. However, those with stronger personality types often get rewarded because I won’t take the credit even when it is due. I am extremely uncomfortable in supervisory positions, which is why I have passed the chance to promote on various
My initial reaction to the personality test we took was surprising, I was surprised to see how much I had not changed since the last time I took the test. I took the same test last year, I took it in Future Focus the second trimester. Although it was only a year ago, many things can change in a year and the results could’ve changed from last year to this year. They didn’t so that’s good, well at least for me, its nice to know I'm consistent in my personality; most importantly it’s great to know that I haven’t had any outside influence that dramatically changed who I was. As any other man made thing, the personality description in my views is wrong in some areas. ISFJs as described by the article are very private about all their own personal feelings, thoughts, opinions, everything in general. I don’t keep all my emotions, problems, thoughts, or opinions to myself; I have a support group composed of my closest family, and friends. It would be very difficult to live that way, but I guess it is also in there for a reason. Overall the article was very accurate in their descriptio...
According to Jung/Meyers-Briggs personality indicator, I am introverted, sensing, feeling and judging in short ISJF. They are protectors, they primarily focus is the safety and security of those they care about. I believe that the test was fairly on target, I tend to lead my emotions by the impressions I see in the world. I’m extremely loyal to those I love and without a doubt would do almost anything for them. I find myself putting others before me and in the end I neglect my self which can manifest itself in being emotional. In an article written by Marina Margaret Heiss states,
Have you ever wanted to find out what your personality is? I have taken a test to figure out my personality; thus, I am an ISFJ. ISFJ the nurturer means quiet, kind, and conscientious. My ISFJ personality stands Introvert (I) I am thoughtful to others, sensing (S) I can only follow certain directions and always focus on every details, Feeling type (F) I evaluate things by good or bad, and judging type (J) I always plan work or do work ahead of time. I have discovered many careers that match up with my ISFJ personality, such as doctor, psychologist, and counselor. . There are the several careers that best suits my personality for ISFJ that involve helping and caring for others.
I(introvert), N(iNutitive), T(thinking), and J(judging) is one of the rarest of the sixteen psychological types and accounts for 1-2% of the population and just 0.8% of women. It is often a challenge to find like-minded individuals who are able to keep up with our relentless intellectualism and their chess-like maneuvering. Those of us with the INTJ personality type are imaginative, ambitious yet reserved, and amazingly curious. Good
Nursing is a promising career that offers many rewards to caring individuals. It is more than just a job that one attends day to day. Nursing is a career that kind people get in to because they are passionate about life and everything is has to offer. They care for people they have never met before in such a way that makes the patient feel comfortable and able to relax. In a way that makes it possible for the patient to recover from whatever they have encountered. If I am going to spend valuable time and money on education, I want to a job that I absolutely love. I want to have the satisfaction of knowing that my job is safe even when times are rough. Interviewing Jennifer H, a Registered Nurse at a local Banner facility really helped me get insight on what the position has to offer. I have encountered many people who are not passionate about their job and just show up for a paycheck; choosing a job in the medical field provides people with the same check, but also offers job security, advancement opportunities and numerous benefits for the employee and their famil...
Based on “The Myers Briggs Type Indicator” self- assessment, my results reflect myself. I've taken similar tests in the past to see how I would collaborate with people that had similar interests as me. My results were ISFJ, meaning Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judgement. It’s based of Extraversion- Introversion, Sensing- Intuition, Thinking- Feeling, and Judging- Perceiving.
Before taking the Myers-Briggs Interactive Test, I didn’t really know what to expect or what kind of questions I would be answering in order to determine what my personality type would be. Afterwards however, I wasn’t too surprised with my results of the test. Out of the sixteen different personality types, I got the INFJ personality type which simply means dominant introverted intuition. All of those letters were pretty self-explanatory and accurate according to how my temperament and personality are. The statistical conclusion was 67% introvert (I), 38% intuitive (N), 50% feeling (F), and 56% judging (J). Therefore I had a distinctive preference of introversion over extraversion, a moderate preference of intuition over sensing, a moderate preference of feeling over thinking, and a moderate preference of judging over perceiving.
Another thing that is extremely important in my life is family. At my age not a lot of people think about having one but its something that I know I want. I mean with all the plans I have for my future they wouldn’t be as great if I didn’t have people to share it with or give to when I passed away. Also having little kids and doing father activities with them is something I really look forward too.
The first step of career management process is self-assessment. Self-assessment is refers to the employees using some information that help them to decide which career they really interested to pursue, ability, skills, and behavioural tendencies. According to Allen (2005), self-assessment is a process to identify skills, abilities, knowledge of the employees. During this step, the employees need to do some tests such as the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory and the Self-Directed Search. The tests help the employees to identify the value of work that they place on their work and also leisure activities. Self-assessment is also involved with some exercises which able the employees to identify their career future plan, where are they for now and also how their career match with the current situation and resource that available (Noe, 2010). After done with the exercises, career counsellors usually used to assist the employee in their self-assessment process and also provide explanation about their result of psychology tests. Then the employees assess their current skills and abilities and also capabilities they are lacking with some informa...
