c. Self-appraisal
This week was the last meeting with the Teen Mother 's Group. It has been a great learning experience for me. It has opened my view of how these young ladies have demonstrated resilience in parenting despite their childhood histories (e.g., negative family relationships), current emotional, academic and financial situations, etc. It was understandable that they sometimes could not attend the sessions for different reasons. The younger pregnant student has been listening respectfully the experiences of the other moms; she is going to have her baby in January, and it is my hope that she come back to school encouraged to continue with her education as the other teen moms have. During the sessions, we have reported concerns with the program counselor so she can provide the appropriate support.
My last session with TS JZ was also this week. Everybody seemed to be concerned about him, even himself has mentioned before that he may need a psychologist, but he does not want to see anyone. I feel that not always we can see positive results in a short time. I only wish that ...
