I seek to pursue the Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University. Obsessed with computers from a very young age, my experiments with programming in Basic and C translated into very good results in various school-level informatics and cyber Olympiads including once being ranked within the top 100 in all of India and scoring 97% in Computer Science in my final Senior Secondary School Examination. My next objective was to secure admission into one of the top colleges in India for Computer Science. And by doing exceptionally well in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination(AIEEE), from among the 800,000 students who wrote the exam, I was selected to join the Bachelor of Technology program in the department of Information Technology at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NIT-K), an Institute of National Importance under the Government of India. In college, I completely immersed myself in a multitude of projects from various fields and was often involved in the work being done by professors. While I was already proficient in C, C++ and visual basic in high school, I quickly picked up other languages such as Java, SQL, XHTML etc. so that I could get involved in a wider variety of projects. One of the most challenging tasks I enjoyed in college was working on modifying a session key based encryption technique by experimenting with different matrix operations to improve it without compromising on its complexity. It taught me a valuable lesson on the importance of patience when trying to solve problems. Another important project I worked on was on limiting the duplication of personal data on the internet. We achieved this by having just one set ... ... middle of paper ... ...uate studies is essential for broadening my knowledge before I can get involved in higher levels of research. And after going through programs in Computer Science from universities across the world, the curriculum of Master of Science in Computer Science at Northeastern University was one that really appealed to me. And I believe that the high level of research being conducted at the CCIS department, especially by the Network Science research group whose work I’m greatly interested in will help me grow as a researcher. Also, having one of the oldest and best co-op programs in the world, NEU presents the unique opportunity to experience working in the industry during the course of my graduate studies which I believe will greatly help me in choosing the right career path after graduation. I look forward to joining NEU as a graduate student at your esteemed department.
Now, in my second semester at NAU, I have gained a great deal of independence, knowledge, and friends. I feel like NAU is my home away from home. I have great classes and I feel that NAU is going to prepare me very well for my life and career in the future.
I was first introduced to the real world CS and programming languages in Grade 9. I learned Java for 4 years and watching my code execute correctly was always delightful. And that is when I decided that I wanted to pursue CS. At UCI, I learned Python in my first year and currently I am learning C++. Some assignments have really blown me away as I was able to connect the dots between different concepts and produce results. To get exposed to CS, I job shadowed a Web Developer and a Director of Operation. To gain new skills, I did a research project in areas of crowdsourcing where I learned Django and applied my knowledge in creating a website with other teammates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I worked on IoT and Augmented Reality as a summer intern. I am currently working on Augmented Reality as an intern, this quarter. I believe that learning and applying are different things and unless you are able to develop or progress by applying your knowledge you won’t know if you have indeed trodden the path of mastering it. I am grateful to have several opportunities to help me grow and advance in CS.
I would like to introduce myself as Katamneni Sruthi who is applying for Master of Science Program in the Department of Public Health. My areas of interest are Public Heath, Dentistry, Behavioral Sciences, Health Science, Health and Social Care and Psychology. As I write this, thousands of miles from my homeland of India, I think on the path that led me to Public Health. I often wonder when people talk of health care disparities, if they can ever truly grasp what it means, what crushing poverty entails, and even what an underdeveloped nation looks like.
I have excellent pre-undergrad background, with 10th position in SSC(public exam taken after US Equivalent Grades 9 & 10) and 4th position in HSC(taken after US Equivalent Grades 10 & 11,annual approx. 200000 takers). Then I applied for admission for a B.Sc.Engg. degree at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology(BUET). BUET annually enrolls its students after carefully selecting students who do tremendously well in its competitive admission test covering higher secondary Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & English. In the test administered in 1998, I held the 6th position among approx. 3000 applicants. I selected, without hesitation, BUET’s Electrical & Electronic Engineering Depa...
I am writing to inform you of my interest in the Master’s Degree program in Criminal Justice with a Behavior Management Concentration at Saint Joseph’s University. I have submitted my application along with applicable documentation.
I have been keen on chemistry and biology throughout my time at secondary school. I have always been amazed by human anatomy and physiology. I am particularly interested in understanding methods for diagnosing, analysing and treating disease. Ihope to study biomedical sciences because I wish to pursue a degree which will enable me to explore the world of science in much greater depth and widen my understanding of the role of science in the modern world. I feel that a degree in biomedical sciences will broaden my perspectives and enable me to use my scientific skills in full. I enjoy reading widely on a range of scientific subjects, and look forward to the opportunity that a biomedical science degree will give me to pursue these interests further.
I am writing this letter to have some idea of what I desire out of college, what I hope, want, and must work for to get where I want to go, what things I think I still need to make it academically, what I have learned so far about college, what I worry about, and lastly, who or what can help me during my college experience.
Imagine a little girl watching on TV a documentary about an African tribe to which water was sacred because it was very scarce. That girl was me I was 8 years old and It was the first time I understood natural resources are limited and that we do not have the same water and food accessibility and accessibility. A few long time afterwards I started to be interested in the environmental and food issues and I became a Greenpeace volunteer against genetically altered organisms. Then, I read a story about the expectations in agriculture by 2050 and I realized that the planet needed solutions based on scientific knowledge like biotechnology. This and other experiences motivated my life plan and motivated to apply to the Agris Mundus Master of Science.

I am Fasiha Abdul Rehman, holding a professional degree of Doctor of Pharmacy at 23 years of age; with a deeper interest in contributing to the understanding of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and unveiling new information for medical advancement and betterment of mankind and I envisage Masters as crucial step in this direction.
Being well acknowledged about the above saying has pushed me a mile further for every aspect of my life. The four year engineering course in Information Technology has always been a beautiful experience and has inspired me to put the knowledge into my Masters degree. This would allow me to enhance my knowledge about technology and its pros and cons and the guidance I would need. Gone are those days when man had to slog for simple works, he has advanced into boundaries which are unimaginable and has made his life easy, being an essential part of such an advancement has always been my motive. To attain my goal, my first priority would be in the field of research which will consist experiencing the applications in the real world steered by comprehensive know-how about technology. Technology has prevailed and casted its spell to parts unknown and now has been imbibed into man.
In conclusion, I believe that I have the required zeal to progress my knowledge further at the University of Southern California.
