Who would you have to lose for your entire world to fall apart? Sitting on my couch everything was okay, it was a day like every other. I came home that day from school, put down my bookbag, and relaxed like any other day until my mom walked in the door, which was usually about four o 'clock. My mother was late and I started to worry, but never would have thought it concerned my grandma. It was six thirty the time she finally called our house phone. As she told me the news, I could feel my heart breaking. The pain I had felt was not just emotional, it was physical as well. It was like someone took my heart in their hand and tore it to pieces. She had told me that nanny had a heart attack, and that she did not think she would make it. The last thing she told me was that my father was coming home to get me so I could say my final goodbye. A day I remember unlike any other, how could I have known this would have happened? I felt speechless in that moment, driving to the hospital it had felt like my world had stopped.
