Why I Want To Work In Your Family Business

I would like to work in my family business. My family has a freight forward business in Bangkok, the business was opened when I was three years old. My father spends time to run the business almost twenty-five years. My vision, I would like to continue running the business, to find more customers and partners in many countries and to expand the family business in my countries and other countries. After I graduate the master degree, I will go back to Thailand to work in my family business. I will use my knowledge that I had learn from the university to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the organization, so I can reduce and improve them. When leaders make decisions, it does not mean they choose right decisions. However, they should admit those mistakes, learn from it and try to select other ways. According to Johnston (2016) “If your employees see you admitting when you are wrong and doing something about it, they will respect your confidence in yourself and be more likely to comply with your next decision. This can be vital to the success of your business and the morale of your staff” (np.). A leader who can adapt on it, he or she can success in his or her position. For me, I would like to expand my family business, I must confidence that I have ability to do it. It shows that when people work together and get along with each other, so they will get good results. From my vision that I would like to develop and expand my family business. The reason that I chose to study in Canada because I can practice my English language skills. The English is the common language to communicate people in around the world, so I can improve both on English communication and written skills. The other good thing to study abroad, I have more friends who come from many different countries. People can be my connections for my business in the future. People who have more connection, they are more opportunities to grow and run in businesses. During I study at Fairleigh Dickinson University, every subjects has to do team projects. The people in teams must collaborate together for finishing projects with a high quality. I learn how to collaborate with different people in teams. When I face some conflicts in my family business, I know how to deal with a conflict. Also, I must lead all members to get along within the team and less conflicts.
