I was 11 years old when I visited Russia for the third time. It was during the summer when I visited Russia for the first two times but this time it was totally different for me since my visit was in winter. The weather was so cold that I remember not being able to sleep because of it my first night there. I remember pretending that I was smoking because I was able to see my breath as a big white smoke. Snow was covering everything around me and I remember that some of the cars were totally covered with it. Some of the buildings were covered with snow up to the first level windows and I remember being surprised of seeing that because it was the first time I have ever seen something like that. I was wearing some heavy warm clothes and a pair of black leather boots. I remember playing snowball fight with my brother and even though I had been hit by a snow ball so many times that day and my face was hurting me badly, I still had tons of fun that day. The next day me, my brother, my mom, and my uncle all went to an outdoor swimming pool. I saw people jumping in the pool like crazy and it...

Personal Narrative Essay - The Ski Trip

- The Ski Trip Standing in awe, cold air permeated through my hair. The smell of fresh and minty pine scent complimented the beautiful vantage of the wilderness. With my boots wedged in the snow, a shiver took over my body. This is was a place of peacefulness and tranquility. Never before had I been so close with nature. Facing the north was the vast forest. To the left and right, only the crystal white snow was visible. While looking up, I caught a glimpse of the old ski lift, the solo apparatus which was my passport to this great adventure....   [tags: Personal Narrative Essays]

Essay on Personal Narrative - My First Trip to America

- My First Trip to America It was about two years ago when I arrived in United States of America, and I still remember the day when I left my native country, Honduras. As I recall, one day previous to my departure, I visited my relatives who live in San Pedro Sula. They were all very happy for me to see me except my grandmother Isabel. She looked sad; even though she tried to smile at all times when I was talking to her, I knew that deep inside of her, her heart was broken because of my departure the next morning....   [tags: Personal Narrative]

Personal Narrative - Bicycle Crash Essay

- Personal Narrative- Bicycle Crash I used to bike often with my friend Juan in my hometown of Aguascalientes, Mexico. In the narrow streets, a heavy flow of traffic make biking treacherous. Certain streets have traffic signs saying, "CEDA EL PASO A UN VEHICULO" which means "Let one vehicle go through at a time." I biked on the right side of the street and my friend Juan biked on the left side. On our trip to buy tamales Juan and I were supposed to cross an intersection with a "CEDA EL PASO A UN VEHICULO" sign....   [tags: Personal Narrative]

Personal Narrative- Amazon Experience Essay

- Personal Narrative- Amazon Experience Being a curious little twelve year old who was eager to discover the world, when my father asked me back in 1997 if I wanted to travel to Colombia, I jumped on the opportunity. Little did I know just how much I would be discovering. Colombia held sights, sound, and smells that I had never experienced. Crowded city highways with no marked lanes, the stench of lead exhaust filling the overcrowded streets of the capitol, the freshness of the Andean Mountains filling the country air....   [tags: Personal Narrative]

Personal Narrative- Moose Hunt Essay

- Personal Narrative- Moose Hunt It was the middle of October, and it was finally time for my long awaited moose hunt. I have waited ever since I was a little girl for this opportunity, and it was finally here. So, my father and I packed up our stuff and left the warmth of Phoenix. We were leaving the "Valley of the Sun" and headed for a place called Wyoming. After two days and fourteen long hours of driving, we made it to our hunting unit. The mountains were tall (11,000 feet +) and covered with bright powdery snow....   [tags: Personal Narrative]

My Trip to America- Personal Narrative Essay

- My Trip to America- Personal Narrative Three years ago, in July 2001, I had the opportunity to visit America, the land of freedom. I was thrilled when I overheard my mother talking to my friend’s father; Tom’s father on the phone for me to join my Toms family in their holiday to America. I could not sleep that night. The following morning, my mother informed me of the good news: That I would be going to Florida for two weeks, and that I would accompany my friend’s family. I could not have asked for a better morning in Britain....   [tags: Papers]

Personal Narrative – Vision of Jesus Essay

- Personal Narrative – Vision of Jesus Jesus has appeared in the desert, and in the city. Jesus has appeared on paper, and in sculpture. Jesus has appeared on television, and in art. He has also failed to appear in His tomb. You’d figure that after all that travelling, He’d have to get a bite to eat sometime, so He also decided to appear at “Tim Horton’s.” Now, I would have thought that The Son of God would have appeared at a more high-class joint, like “Red Lobster,” but I, sir, am no theologist....   [tags: Personal Narrative Writing]

Essay about Personal Narative- Tough Girl

- Personal Narative- Tough Girl She went to the land of Hollywood with a diamond wedding necklace hanging loosely from her neck like a noose before it gives its snapping goodbye. She went to the land of dreams with pride coloring her shadow; a haughty swing of her thick plait; and why not. Her name was Serina –she was named after a dream. Why not. I thought, though I cried the night before because she got the chance bestowed to her curvy hips, her white Colgate smile, her crystal blue eyes. And what about me....   [tags: Personal Narrative Writing]

Personal Narrative- Soccer Injury Essay

- Personal Narrative- Soccer Injury I went into my junior spring soccer season kind of sad, my past coach, wasn't going to be our team coach this year. I wasn't really depressed though, because I had tons of friends that were playing this year. One of the great things about soccer is that it is not a school-sanctioned sport. To me this said that I was able to play another season of soccer with my friends from Paonia and Hotchkiss without the normal High School rivalry between these schools. Year after year, the schools pulled pranks on each other, sometimes nothing big, but sometimes something big....   [tags: Personal Narrative Essays]

Essay on Personal Narrative- Marriage Proposal

- Personal Narrative- Marriage Proposal There is a knock, quick and steady, upon the hotel room door. Almost 8:30. Breakfast. This is it, I tell myself, as my heart settles in my throat. A young man brings in a silver tray, sets it quietly on the small table in the living room. I look at the tray, disappointed. It doesn’t look how I had imagined it. I expected it to be full of various objects, glasses, silverware, condiments, very elegant, where the ring box would sit hidden, to be discovered by surprise....   [tags: Personal Narrative Writing]
