“Family is not important, family is everything.” said actor Michael J. Fox. This quote pretty much sums up how my family feels about each other. We will always get together to congratulate and comfort others. No matter where or when, my family will always get together to celebrate the good in life, even if it is twenty-two hours away, Around Thanksgiving time, my whole family was notified that my cousin, Drew, and his fiance, Steph, were getting married in Texas. The wedding was in March, over Easter break. After some debating, my parents decided to turn it into a family trip. It seemed not long after my family and I finished planning the trip, we were packing the car to head off. We knew the drive down was going to take two days. The first day, we drove for ten hours and passed through Iowa, Missouri, and we stayed on the border of Kansas and Oklahoma. While we were driving through Kansas, we noticed that there was fire everywhere! Later on, we saw these fires on the news. It was a relief when we finally got to the hotel, even though it was pretty squished. Ayla my little sister, and I had to share a bed. The next day, we all woke up early to head off. We had to leave our original beach we stopped at due to there being way too many seagulls! In the end, we went to Padre Island and found a nice quiet beach. We swan in the salty water for hours. When we were finished swimming, we frolicked on the beach. The sand was so white and soft that my brother and I buried my little sister in it. When we were finished playing on the sand, we took a walk down the beach together to admire the crystal blue ocean.
