CHILLERS

A Chiller is a big version of air-conditioning system or central air-conditioning system and modern air conditioning was invented by an American Engineer named Dr Willis Haviland Carrier in 1902. He is also known as father of air conditioning.

As specialized advancement or invention typically can't be pinpointed to a solitary moment. Buffalo Forge where Willis Haviland Carrier used to work had made the Carrier Air Conditioning Organization as a division of Buffalo Forge. At the flare-up of World War I, Buffalo Forge settled on the business choice to no more seek after the new cooling business sector. The group left and structured the Carrier Engineering Corporation of America. The group includes Willis Haviland Carrier, L.L. Lewis, L.I. Lisle, and E.T. Murphy.E.P. Heckel,E.T. Lyle, and A.E. Stacey Jr. This group came up with many HVAC engineering development what we are using today and also this group of engineers invented the basic centrifugal chillers. Thus, Carrier Air Conditioning became the first industry in the field of Air Conditioning

The term chiller is used to describe the complete chilling package that includes the compressor condenser, evaporator, internal piping and other controls. A chiller is a machine that the heat of a fluid by vapor compression or absorption refrigeration cycle. This fluid can then be circled through a high temperature exchanger to cool air or gear as needed. As a vital repercussion, refrigeration makes waste hotness that must be depleted to encompassing or, for more excellent effectiveness, recuperated for warming purposes. Concerns in configuration and choice of chillers incorporate execution, effectiveness, support, and item life cycle ecological effect.

Most of the chillers works on vapor compression refrigeration cycle this can be replaced by Solar vapor absorption chillers which might results in many advantages over vapor compression chillers such as reduction in overall electrical cost, low noise operation, reduce operation cost, low co2 emission .

In Solar absorption chillers solar collectors has been identified as one of the promising form of renewable energy to improve the energy efficiency of the building which is needed as per present situation to reduce electrical consumption and to save electrical energy and reduce emission of co2.Extensive research is required to develop an economical building solar energy to meet the energy demand.
