Free healthcare is not a luxury most people in this country can have, and afford. With the availability of free healthcare clinic such as Planned Parenthood, women can have a chance to live a healthier life. The organization itself brings a wide array of public onions, and controversy. Despite the misconception that Planned Parenthood only focuses on abortion, they come with many advantages such as providing diverse healthcare services from cancer screenings, STD tests, and birth control to women with low income, and those that are uninsured. The defunding of Planned Parenthood would deny millions of women resources for their health, and reproductive rights. Since many people only associate Planned Parenthood with abortions, that is why many republican members of congress is fighting to defund the bill to stop all funding to keep them in service. With many people on opposing sides, the main focus should be the good things Planned Parenthood have done. Being clouded with controversial abortion videos during the summer, the real story of planned Parenthood lies in the real women of everyday life. They are single mothers, full-time students, hard working women of all ages who have the rights to take care of their own body. They deserve the resources that will be able to protect them from cancer, HIV, and other diseases. If the government were to eliminate funding, they will have limited accessibility to the things they need the most.

...ncer. They are the support system many women depend on.
Over the years, Planned Parenthood has given women treatments, and services they need to sustain a healthy life. Overshadowed by the complicated, and very controversial issue of abortion, Planned Parenthood main objective is still not reached by the general public. Over one in seven women, and four in ten single-mother families are living with low income, and 32.1% in 2014 were uninsured. Planned Parenthood goal was always to provide diverse affordable healthcare for cancer screenings, contraceptives, diseases treatments, and services for motherhood to women in need. If federal fundings was to be cut, it would dramatically increase health risks, and the lives of many families in the United States. The bill only focuses on the negative aspect of Planned Parenthood, rather measuring how the pros outweigh the cons.
