The Oracle Corporation is an American multinational computer technology corporation headquartered in Redwood City, California, United States. Oracle specializes in developing and selling computer hardware systems and enterprise software products – particularly its own brands of database management systems. As of 2011, the company is the second only to Microsoft in terms of revenue. The company also builds tools for database development and systems of middle-tier software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, customer relationship management (CRM) software and supply chain management (SCM) software. Oracle sells a large suite of business applications. The Oracle E-Business Suite contains software to perform lots of enterprise functions connected to, for instance, financials, manufacturing, customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and human resources. The Oracle Retail Suite covers the retail-industry vertical, supplying merchandise management, price management, invoice matching, allocations, store operations management, warehouse management, demand forecasting, merchandise financial planning and assortment planning. Users have access to these facilities through a web browser interface, over the Internet, or through their corporate intranet.
Oracle Corporation works with "Oracle Certified Partners" to enhance its overall product-range. ... are geared for small, mid, large or scalable companies. You really can’t go wrong if you decide to go with Oracle for your business needs. Oracle has been a leader in the industry for many years and continues to put out great scalable vendor suites.
If I was to own a shipping company, that was in the business of taking in large orders from big companies, similar to Kraft. I would definitely recommend all of the above vendor packages. I would especially recommend Database warehousing, due to the extremely large inventory that my company would be responsible for. I would have to make shipments to various grocery store chains, restaurants, and other small vendors, and all this information would need to be kept extremely tight and up to date. The other vendors would go well with the company as well, the ERP for example, to keep track of everything productivity related.
