Opposing Viewpoints on Homosexuality

Homosexuality is one of the most controversial issues in today’s society. This practice was not acceptable a long time ago. Now, this is a common trend and people are learning to accept and deal with this issue. However, many people have different perspectives on this issue. Ellen Friedrichs and Trayce Hensen are two of many that have opposing viewpoints on homosexuality whether a family does not have to include a mother and father or a family must include a mother and father.

Ellen Friedrichs is the author of A Family Does Not Have to Include a Mother and Father. She does support gays and lesbians do however think they do outshine heterosexuals in raising children. This result in that children are more likely to exceed in school and would encounter fewer social problems. Friedrichs also believed that same-sex parenting take parenting more seriously than straight parents; because it is more difficult for them to become parents.There is a lot of support for the different points she believe in. Ellen Friedrichs had a significant amount of support for her opinion on being raised by same-sex parents result in exceeding in school and encounter fewer social problems. For instance, she interviewed, Kellen Kaiser, who was raised by her biological mother’s long-term partner. Friedrichs asks her a few questions to get her insight on being raised by two women as parents. Kaiser stated she has gained a lot from being exposed to many different but wonderful adults throughout her life. She made an important statement, that correlate to Friedrichs opinion on same sex parenting, which was “I think gay parents are more intentional on the whole than the average straight parent. ... studied over time. This father and mother raising a child has been the norm for so many years. For instance, two men can’t teach a girl how to be a lady and two women can’t teach a boy how to be man. Because neither of them know the qualities of being one another.
