There are so many different types of online sites that you could choose from that fits your daily life. Online dating is the new generation of meeting new people, and most of these sites cost money, have daily communication, and the outcome can be good or bad.

I know I didn’t like going thru all the email because people do send some uncountable pictures. Also, you don’t know if what they say in the profile is real or fake. A review of PlentyOfFish Andrew A. stated “can be fun site, but watch for scammers.” (www.sitejabber.com) So it’s true there’s been so many scammers and females/males that wants sexually favors for money. There are also some good with doing online dating. Some people do find their true love. For example, Kayleligh a review of Plentyoffish stated “Miracles to happen… After months of looking Kayleligh found her true love. There are now engaged, move-in together, and ready to set a date for their big day.” (www.sitejabber.com) When it comes to these online sites you should choose the one that fits you the most. You are always going to have your up and down with online dating. You should take your time and pick the person you can see yourself
Another concern is that the number of misrepresentations in profiles may create problems as couples learn more about their spouses after the wedding; one of the primary fears that people have about online dating is encountering sexual predators.
However, the problem that McIntosh is trying to bring more awareness to is the lack of information people don’t look for or ask for when they begin the process of dating on the web. There’s no right or wrong in your decision to date online, but according to Kim Boatman from the article The Dangers of Internet Dating, “it’s recommended that you talk to loved ones or family members when looking for a mate online. Often people who care about you have your best interests at heart. They have a tendency of picking up warning signs about potential mates their loved ones are considering
Having children to care for and part-time jobs here and there to support my family, it took up most of my time. After the kids were settled in for the night, I was finally able to relax and wind down. The last thing I had time for was to get all cleaned up and looking good enough to go out and meet people. I wanted to sit in my sweatpants and oversized tee shirt and relax for a bit before going to bed. Another thing that made it more convenient for me was the fact that I didn’t have to worry about leaving my kids with a babysitter. With this routine, online dating made it so much easier to meet people and get to chat with them. Being able to do this was also less stressful and gave me the time to get to know the person a little more because all we were doing was chatting, instead of out at a movie or dinner and not really getting to talk as much. For the most part, you can get a good sense of who a person is and what they are like. With being able to get to know them through this type of interaction, it also makes it very easy to end the conversations if things aren’t what you are looking
With technology advances steadily in today’s society, individuals steadily advance too. One of these aspects includes dating. Individuals in today’s society hope to find companionship through online dating websites so that someday some online daters might be able to find a companion. With websites like eHarmony, Match, Christian Mingle, OkCupid, Black People Meet, and JDate, finding the one seems to be easier and more convenient than ever. Most of these websites even display statistics showing that one out of five relationships start online. The questions that should be asked, is this a better and safer option than looking for the one in person? Individuals tend to ignore the possible risks involving online dating. They are willing to release personal information from pictures of oneself, to locations of where they work, or live just for the possibility of finding a companion. The online users have to ask themselves: is the risk worth it in the end, or does the benefit outweighs the cost? When searching for a companionship through online dating websites, negative aspects such as profiles, self-presentation, self-disclosure, predators and sexual mishaps, may outweigh the positive aspects and cause more problems and strife then actual good.
On the other hand, however, the study found some downsides to online dating as well. One major negative of these services is the way they are set up. Since most dating sites require the user to pay a fee, they are inherently interested in keeping their users, rather than matching them up quickly, which would mean losing two paying customers. Therefore, dating sites try to keep their clients as long as possible, oftentimes to the detriment of their romantic futures. Secondly, this study confirmed that online dating does not create the same level of intimacy as traditional dating, and that relationships created through online dating are overall not as strong as those
Online Dating Current society has faced several problems, which include the societal problem that has been attributed to age difference. Online dating is one such societal problem that has been used by the younger generation to foster relationships. According to Bryer (2016), online dating is the process of using the internet to establish a partner, and carry out the process of knowing each other by use of social media platforms such as Facebook. Notably, the process of online dating makes the two parties invisible to each other, and the communication is through email, or social media platforms. Though adults also engage in online dating, online dating has been dominated by the younger generation due to the presence and easy access of the internet and social media platforms.
Dating nowadays has evolved into something similar to a math equation. Technology has changed society and culture so much in the 21st century that something which did not seem normal probably 30 years ago seems mundane now: meeting people via computer. In order to find the most compatible person, suddenly people are not able to find “the one” and need the help of a computer to tell them who their personality matches with, causing many people to not develop proper social skills along with confidence. People have different relationship goals which they wish to achieve, be it through either traditional or online dating. Although traditional and online dating have many similarities, at the same time they are very different when it comes to the
Online dating is dangerous because anyone can create a false profile that makes other people believe they are real but then lead to letdowns, predators, and criminals use these sites to find victims, and finally because these sites portray themselves as a trusting site when it is just filled with false advertisement. When it comes to online dating, criminals or predators take advantage because they feel that online dating sites are bursting with victims they can harm. Match.com was sued for $10 million by Mary Kay Beckman according to citation, Beckman met Wade Ridley online and Wad had the intentions to kill Beckman but failed to do so. As a matter of face Wad Ridley confessed to have killed a woman named Anne Simenson, who he had met on Match.com. This is just one of the many criminals that are out there using these online dating sites as bait for victims. The reason why people still use these sites is because of the false advertisements that are

They also pointed out that there are different experience between online dating and traditional dating. Users of online dating can filter the partners by reading the profiles from lots of choices. They need to arrange a time to meet each other in order to have face-to-face communication (9).
The human need for affiliation creates the challenges and rewards of finding acquaintances, forming close friendships, as well as intimate relationships. Through technological advances cyberspace, or the internet, has become a place of multiple opportunities for people to be able to fulfill that need for affiliation. Websites, chat rooms, and online communities are just some examples of virtual platforms for people to seek others, come together, and find that special someone. These opportunities can result in positive outcomes allowing people to achieve what or whom they were seeking, but they can also result in harm to themselves and others, resulting with damaging consequences. Cyberspace does not come with a warning label. People who use the internet as a means to seek relationships are at risk of being exposed to positive as well as negative results. Being made aware of some of those risks and dangers, and realizing that forming relationships on the internet is not all fun and games, may be ways to help promote a positive future for cyberspace as a place to form successful relationships.
Dating really changed in the few last years and meeting people online became not uncommon or just for young people only. But everyone now can use it to find their dates and meet new people.
The Folks have had these strange encounters, for example this one guy has conversed with a girl he met Surfeit online for about a week. The couple decided to on a date. When they finally met the guy finds out that not only did the picture she gave him was fake but also her name. When asked, she said she was pretending to be her younger
Online dating gives people searching for a new union an edge that they didn’t have before. They are able to “shop” for potential connections before their initial contact. According to Droge and Voirol (2011), online dating is here to stay because it allows people to more carefully choose their partner. They are able to filter through the profiles on a dating site and determine which characteristics they like or dislike about someone before they make the decision to communicate with that person. Internet users are more likely to communicate with someone who has similar interests (Hitsch, Hortacsu, & Ariely, 2010). If someone’s favorite kind of music is one that you despise most, you’ll most likely not trigger a conversation with them. You’re able to look at attributes that are important to you and filter out those persons that don’t fit into who you are potentially looking for.
